It's SO Shiny!
I got this smaller roll because I needed the gold filament for small parts for my Lysandre from Pokemon Cosplay I'm working on. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this printed. I was afraid because I needed to try some budget PLA Slik that was on the cheaper side because I didn't need much to make the parts I needed. I will be using the rest of the roll for something else soon. Super Shiny and nice to print with. I've not printed with silk before so I might not have the best idea of how silk PLA is but this cheaper silk PLA was great to work with.

Almost returned, glad I didn't, printing great now
-- Ignore the green Yoda, that green is from another brand --I originally bought this set only because it had darker versions of green, brown, and purple which is hard to find in a set. I was very apprehensive after reading the negative reviews, but needed the darker colors and naively thought my current printing technique would overcome the problems the other reviewers had.I struggled with failed prints for several days using settings that work flawlessly with other filaments. Totally frustrated and ready to return the set, I took a breather and started working on a project for a friend that required ABS, so I learned how to get ABS to print successfully which gave me the idea to give one last stab at this Dikale PLA filament, but using some techniques I learned with ABS. Now I'm printing a ton with the Dikale filament and not having any issues. A note here that my modifications I made to my printing technique came from working with ABS, which has me wondering if this PLA may have a touch of ABS which makes it tougher to print with than other PLAs?Anyway, here are my current settings:- Glass print bed- Very light layer of Elmer's glue stick just on the area of the print- 70 degree bed initial layer- 200 degree nozzle initial layer- 60 degree bed rest of the print- 200 degree nozzle rest of the print- Completely let bed cool before removing, but it print is being stubborn, 50/50 shot of water / alcohol which will release the bondThe reason for 4 stars:+10 stars for colors. Yes, 10 out of 5 stars because I did a lot of searching for a set that had solid dark versions of purple, green, yellow, and brown and I just couldn't find any anywhere. I love the colors (please ignore the green Yoda, that green was another brand. I wish I had taken more pictures of my other prints. The purple is my favorite among all the filaments I have right now. A close second is Hatch---'s dark blue. The glow in the dark turned out surprisingly great. To be fair, the white is just OK. I prefer a solid bright white, but all the other colors are nice and solid.+5 for value. Great variety of colors, lots of filament, great price. Very pleased with my purchase.+1 star for the poor print adhesion, but you can totally overcome this, so maybe one star is too critical+1 star for packaging. There were a few rolls that were almost balloons cause they were so filled with air and with the tiny desiccant packs in them, I was concerned about dryness. Fortunately, zero issues with moisture. I repacked all the other rolls that were really bad, but didn't think to take a picture of them. The roll you see in the picture is the worst of the rolls I have remaining. As you can tell, their vacuum sealer didn't do very well.

Great prints (YES the spools fit the AMS lite)
This filament was a "get the cheap crap" purchase so I could make some mother's day stuff. I am very happy to report that not only does this stuff print well it fits the AMS lite without the need to respool... I will say the fit is snug and getting them off is a joy but not so bad I would not use them on it.

***If you are new to 3D printing, read this***
These colors for the most part do not print well compared to the same color from other brands. For example the gray, silver, white, and purple are almost unprintable. They don’t behave well with any temperature. For the record, I store them in airtight bags with a silica packet in each bag and ran temp tower/cube tests on all colors once I figured out the PLA was the problem.Only a handful of colors print well, but you can find packs of the same colors for cheaper right here on Amazon.Bottom line if you are new to 3-D printing and you are trying to learn how to get the best prints then DO NOT BUY this because your print quality will suffer and there is nothing you can do about it. This is way more PLA than you realize, I promise you will be stuck with this for a long time and sadly I can’t return it because it’s past the 30 days. I wasted so much time trying to fix my printer when nothing was ever wrong with it, it was just this bad plastic. This was my first bundle of PLA and due to being new to 3D printing, I never thought my problems would be the PLA. It’s not until I randomly decided to buy a different brand that I realized the problem was this PLA all along.

NEEDS a better spool. Glow is minimal
Does it glow? yes. Does it take a burst of sunlight to make it happen? yes. I can use a blacklight to charge it, but at that point, fluorescent dyes would be better... disappointing glow effect, but I think blue is just like that.Adhesion is Good, but it breaks away from itself on a prime tower break test, so it stuck to the black pla better than it stuck to itself. No it's not the most scientific test, and I don't see a problem in the build itself - it stuck well to the plate on some intricate curves, even being the first filament on the plate. Bambu X1C on a cool plate - no glue, 55 degree plate temp. That being said - it only went through my AMS after I transferred it (respooled) to an empty Bambu spool. The one this came on is too WIDE for the AMS - it fits in there but creates too much drag for the motor to feed it. For this reason alone I won't buy this brand again until they put out a notice that the spools will be a little more narrow.

Very Brittle, Simple Objects Only, Responsive Company
TIP:General Printing: 215C nozzle, 60C bed, 50mm/sBridging: still haven't sorted - could be a slicer issueReducing temperature to 200C after first couple mm gives a smoother sheen in my opinion.Nice way to get a selection of colors. Good for simple uncomplicated prints. Requires drying before use. Comes with spare nozzles which is a bonus.I received this initially as a gift. Of the 12 rolls, only 5 were properly vacuum sealed. I received a replacement package after struggling.... only 2 or the 12 rolls were sealed. The struggle:I was having trouble getting the filament to stick. Dikale responded very quickly with the above settings which have sorted the issue. Any lower and it will not stick.I was also having trouble with the filament breaking, even mid-print. I was so frustrated that my brand new filament was so brittle. Dikale advised that they were now sending out filament that was dryer and offered to replace the filament. They promptly did so. I received the exact same lot # that I already had and this time only 2 of the 13 colors were sealed.....yeah.Drying the filament for 8 hours did improve the quality of the print but it continues to snap. However, it appears to be snapping only at the end of the print job now. 14" wasted each print. I have actually ordered a splicer to try and recover some of the snapped filament. It still struggles with really complicated designs with a lot of direction changes. But I have been printing little pots and simple projects and it does a decent enough job for that. This works well for trying out colors on simple projects. I wouldn't recommend this for complicated designs or those requiring a multi-day print timeline.I would order Dikale again on sale because the company was very responsive. I wish the replacement package had, in fact, been the new "dryer" filament they said they were now using. Hopefully, the next order would be dry to start with but at least I know it prints simple objects well as-is.

Terrible Filament Don't Waste Your Time or Money
Inconsistent measurements, brittle right out of the bag, strings like crazy. I have used about 2kg, with about 1/4 of that coming out stringy, and the other 3/4 just breaking or clogging every single print. I'm just going to recycle the remaining colours because I have wasted well over 100 hours on failed prints with this filament. The moment I switch to any other brand the issues go away without any adjustments. Purchasing this kit was the largest mistake I've made with 3D printing yet.
