## Questions & Answers

**Q: I am planning to use it with my iphone 8 and a grado sr80 and a ath m50x.will i really hear that much improvement on the sound??**
A: I actually use it with an iPhone 8 and the m50x and I find it to be well worth the investment. I am enjoying my music much more, especially using Tidal and downloading the tracks through hifi. I would highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

**Q: Does this unit charge the iPhone through the Lightning connector while playing?**
A: With the supplied lightning to micro USB chord it does not.

**Q: I am currently using a creative xfi sound card, plus fiio a3 amp. using this to replace the fiio a3, will that make a big difference?**
A: This should be nice i think, because it has a nice low ohm output, and superb channel balance, i read, but it depends on what you intend to drive., An amp like the A# and A5 i think have more output power, so make a more useful interface for headphones in general., Now, if your just going to drive highly power efficient headphones, with great sensitivity ratings then maybe this would be better. However, with an A5 you can support many more headphones. One thing which is nice, is this lends DSD support, to your system. So in cases, you can line to your x-fi and this, i believe, like depending on your source, if your source is DSD, then use this, if your source is 24bit 96khz/24bit 192khz, then i'm guessing you'll be better off using the X-Fi DAP, and using this as a headhone amp., Possibly what you could also doo.., i maybe if you have multistreaming, and perhaps on linux only. Now bear i mind, that windows 10 ads hardware acceleration back for audio.., Is output from the Creative X-Fi card digital output optical(?) to your systemboard or back into the soundcard, then at your system convert the digital line-in to DSD, then route that audio to the FiiO Q1 Mark II, you might think tons of latency, but i dunno, there are always buffers i thinks.. Now the 24bit 96khz performance might be better with the x-fi than the DSD with the Q1 Mark II, however, this is a way if you wanted, i suggest it might be feasible to use your x-fi, for hardware accelerated audio processing, like 3d environmental effects processing, like EAX or OpenAl, without using your cpu for the 3d game sound processing, and still do DSD... if u wanted., Have you set you cards sound properties to 24bit 96khz(or192khz) in your operating system sound settings, sir? That might be nice to ensure, and prehaps trying some true hd tracks, but smoe hd tracks are 88.2khz, so you might set your card to that in your operating system sound properties.., or a program like foobar which allows the files direct to drive(i think) control for playback with ASIO, this way your music files play back at their native sampling formats and i understand, that sometimes you can set upsampling schemes, like the x-fi operates better at 88.2khz than it does at 44.1khz, so it might be prudent to set cd audio rips/tracks to play at the incrementally upsampled rate of 88.2khz, so then each sample is just played twice, then at the card more optimal sampling rate. some food for thought, fellow X-Fi'er. I think the new AE5 card does not support hardware acceleration for game audio, the next one might again, but has a low output impedance, and goes on sale for the same price as this, and MAYBE? has a better internal amp then this? but does 32bit/384khz sampling, not DSD.

**Q: can i use this with android mobile?**
A: Some of the android devices could work with it, but no guarantee that all android phones could work with it since some of them might not support OTG and system restriction.
