I have 2 dogs and a new, indoor cat. Dogs are up to 32 #'s. Can this door allow dogs to go out but not the cat? I'm assuming I'd need the large door.

Yes you can. I have a ragdoll mix cat and she is not allowed to go out either. We have the PetSafe SmartDoor and it works great. It was pretty easy to train our dog to use it too.

Yes! I found an easy way. Buy a Switchbot (on Amazon for about $30). And buy a Switchbot Hub Plus (on Amazon for about $60). The switchbot is basically a little robot box, whose sole function is to press a button. Position it over the Mode button on the Dog Door (the switchbot already has an adhesive sticker that works perfectly). On the switchbot app, change the push duration (amount of time the switchbot holds the Mode button before releasing) to 3 seconds. That’s how long it takes to cycle the dog door from one mode to the next (lock, unlock,automatic). You can now control the Switchbot (and your dog door) with your phone if you are within Bluetooth range of it. Now, set up the Switchbot Hub Plus. Now you can control the switchbot on your phone (on the Switchbot app) no matter where you are (because now it’s linked to WiFi instead of Bluetooth). There you go! Took me awhile to figure this out, but I was tired of paying someone to come to my house every day while I’m at work to let the dogs out. (I don’t like them sitting in the backyard barking all morning, waking my neighbors up). So I unlock the dog door from my phone at lunch time and my dogs then have access to the backyard until I get home. Although I could theoretically lock it again later if I watch them on my security camera to see that they are both inside. I don’t even need to use the Smart Collar things that come with the dog door.

My dog loves to go in the pool. Is the collar sensor waterproof?
