Worked well. But after one year the wind speed has quit and the "atomic clock" decided I was on the east coast.

It took almost three weeks for the anemometer (wind speed indicator) to begin measuring and reporting wind speed. When it did begin to report, it was inaccurate above five miles per hour. LaCrosse customer service did not respond to my request for assistance for more than a week.The base unit has a colorful, easy to read screen that has two brightness settings. It can handle multiple temperature readings, making it valuable to me for reading home, outdoor, and inside the barn levels. The built-in wind chill display is a very nice touch and will be of value once the anemometer starts passing true wind speed readings. The forecast feature is a very nice touch and somewhat accurate once it acclimatizes itself to the outdoor environment where the unit is located.

UPDATE: I bumped this back up to 5-star. The company sent me a replacement external thermometer and it is working flawlessly. I missed knowing what the temperature was outside my door! Thank you La Crosse. Excellent followup even past the warranty period. I recommend it.UPDATE 1 year later: The outdoor monitor stopped working. It needed battery replacements more and more frequently until it finally just stopped transmitting. Making it worthless. So basically I have a $100 room thermometer. So disappointing it didn't live up to my own original review.Original Review: Over the years I've had people buy me weather readers that never really worked. They were small, hard to read, inaccurate, or kept disconnecting to the outdoor unit. I finally did some research and bought this one for me. Pleasantly surprised after using for only a few weeks. Large readout, colorful, easy to see, connected instantly to both temp unit and wind meter. Even has a forecast mode, and remembers wind speeds for past 1 hr to 24 hr. This is first thing I check in the morning and last thing at night. Reasonably priced, highly accurate, easy to set up. Highly recommend.

Perfect size for armchair table. Easy to read with bright & big display - plus it has a dimmer & off button for the display. Really like the 'Feels like ' feature that takes wind & humidity into calculating. Easy to set up & personalized. It's even better than I expedited it to be. We did, however, have to purchase a cover for the outdoor sensor to protect it from elements - it would make better sense to include it with the purchase since it is necessary for this station. The wind reader does seem cheap, as other reviews mentioned, but it's holding up surprisingly well & we live in the Rockies where harsh wind & heavy snows are the norm. A great weather station, & we HIGHLY recommend!!!

This is a nice weather station. It was easy to set up. I put the wind gauge on our back fence, about 8 feet off the ground. It paired immediately with the base station and has been fun checking on the wind speeds. We have a small yard and I don't know how much that affects the accuracy of the wind qauge but let's just say I know when it's really windy and when it's not. It's been informative and fun.

I very much like this weather station is very easy to put together very easy to see from a distance I love the backlight color versus the brilliant color of the other one that I just disposed of I like the wind sweep dial very easy to see from a distance the only thing that I have issue with this thermometer weather station is that both indoor and outdoor temperatures are 1° off as calibration cannot be done on this particular station I QC the indoor and outdoor temperatures with a mercury thermometer so I know that both indoor and outdoor are consistently 1° off. Overall I would buy it again I just wish they would add a calibration mode to this weather station

Bought this for my husband's birthday and he loves it. Colorful, bright, easy to read display. Easy to install. Have not yet put history to work....waiting to have enough time in use. This saves him time from looking on his phone.

A hail storm took out my last weather station and this one has provided so much more information than the other one ever thought of having I know what we've have gotten for moisture up to the date hand through to the year the wind direction and speed the wind chill in the feels like temperature. We also has a graph for 6 hours or 48 hours giving you the temperature ranges for morning tonight for the 48 hours that I have chosen. And in Montana you can certainly see a difference in weather temperatures just by the hour. I'm very pleased with this unit and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

It was as advertised, fun to have as a guild as to what the conditions are to be.
