Bought the M4 version to chase the threads on kitchen cabinet knobs some clever person had wrecked by fitting them using wood screws. Worked perfectly so I don't have replace every knob in my kitchen as I fix the 3 damaged ones. I think the knobs are brass. Can't speak to the longevity of the product as only used it twice so far which is why I've given it four stars. Buying this was cheaper than 20-odd knobs.

Well made accurate tool for re cutting stripped threads on electrical boxes. Easy to use and does the job well. Just make sure that it is the correct thread for the screws as they could be 3.5 or 4mm.

Great product, shame it took of 2 month to recieve, I actualy gave up on the order and ordered it from else where after being promised a second one had been sent out. Dont want to upset the amazon gods by putting too many complaints in for not recieving goods

I had two electrical back-box on which the silly sparky had used screws that were too long and hence had stripped the threads on the back box. Removal of boxes was impractical due to wall being already tiled and grouted. Using this tool allowed me to re-thread it to 4mm and use 4mm bolts wich held nice and tightly again. Remember to "cut back" whilst tapping. You can protect this tool in your toolbox with an offcut piece of telephone cable sheath or similar. Thumbs up. :)
