Bit disappointed
Beautiful shade of blue but the white wax inside doesn't fall back down, just rises to the top and stays there.Will try a different brand of bulb to the one that came with it.

Avoid gift wrapping option
The item looks fine. The gift wrapping was too small for the box so you could see what it was. Terrible design and quality had to go and buy wrapping paper and do it myself

Fantastic and friends love it
This is an amazingly good value lava lamp. It's works just as it should . Everyone who has seen it loves the lamp. It's a great bit of retro styling. I have seen some reviews where people have had problem with the lava not looking good. I can't speak for them but once the light has heated the lav(wax) it work as should.So if was a trip back to the 60's or 70's this is a great choice, just remember that it can take over 30mins for the wax to heat up before it work properly.
