Slick and functional design, though can seem a bit bulky if space is tight
I use a laptop as my desktop machine; my laptop comes with a whopping two USB ports. Needing more, I opted for this particular four-way splitter because its five cords are particularly well-chosen lengths. The stretch of cord attached to the primary male plug is just right; it's long enough to let you get that box and its four phalanges out of the middle of things and pointed in the right direction, but it's not so long as to leave things danging or sticking you with a bunch of slack and useless cord you need to tuck away... the last thing you need if you're going for reasonably trim and minimal, as I am.The four cords leading to the female plugs are of a similar virtuous length. You can plug things in with plenty of wiggle room, free of the rigidity that the older, generic two-by-two female have, letting you plug in something looping behind your monitor as well as a phone charger and a couple BlueTooth chips.Good price; does just what it's supposed to, and better than I could have expected.

Worked right out of the package.
Wanted to connect multiple USB2 v2 cables to a Raspberry PI B+. The USB ends on the special cables were two large to get two of them into the PI so this device will allow me to plug them in.

Do not buy this
I work with computers all the time, and buy stuff off this website all the time. Usually i try to ignore bad reviews on items, but this item was cheap. I should have known that I shouldn't have expected it to work. I would turn on and off every second, so my computer would go berserk whenever the ports were even plugged in and as such screwed me over.It is cheap, looks good, but does not even work. It would just turn on my ports and turn off every second for an hour until it finally just stops making the USB plugged in noise from my windows sound. and the item stops working. All in all, it is not good.

Did not work for me
I know this technology is nearly 'too simple to fail', however I did not get good results. The computer stumbled and slowed down horribly when I plugged this in. Not sure why. Drivers?

It just awesome
it gives me that extra inches for I can conform strain relief in my network cabling to the desktop PC and other cables that connect to the tower not are inches out side the towel connected. I have no fear of cable being ripped out of it's port disabling the port for life cuz of the pin inside the tower connector slot get bent and that's it your done so this disables some of the accidents that could happen to anyone outside of me.

Useful but divides current from source supply
It is very convenient, but beware... Some cell phones (like my new Galaxy III) require high current and they may not get what they need from the divided current of a splitter. If I leave my phone plugged in all night with the digital clock app running, it will have lower battery power in the morning. If I plug it into the single plug factory charger, it charges within 2 hours.Update: I downloaded a free current meter for my Galaxy. It shows 1000mA current from my wall charger. When I plug in the splitter I only get 460mA. Oddly, I still get 460mA even when I have multiple devices plugged into the splitter, meaning it must be drawing more than 1,000mA from my 1,000mA wall charger. My phone gets 460mA from the computer USB port. With the splitter, it gets 160mA or 100mA. I guess it is more careful about not over-amping the USB port (don't ask me how). Also beware, different USB cables will give different charge currents. Using the current meter and my wall charge cube I was able to identify which USB cables give me 100% of the 1,000mA and which ones deliver as little as 20%. This saves a lot of frustration in leaving a phone to charge overnight only to find it dead in the morning because it consumed more than the USB would deliver!

Terrific!
Item came in only a couple of days and worked perfectly. You can connect any USB operated device to it and you won't have any difficulty connecting to your computer through it. For those who don't want to pay more than $10 to get a hub like you would have to in a computer store, Ihighly recommend this item. It gets the job done and with less space to take.

Great USB splitter for under $5
The 4 Port High Speed USB 1.1 2.0 Octopus Hub Adapter arrived on time and in good condition. This little device makes a world of difference. Just plug it in. I bought it because I had to disconnect something because my laptop had all of its USB ports occupied. I recommend this product. I rate this a 5 star because it is under $5 and makes it a must have for me.
