Hi ! can you use this for leather belt strops or cloth with stropping paste on it?

I have never tried it on a strop but I think probably not. I have used this with great success on sandpaper belts and disk but I notice the finer the grain it seems less efficient and since a strop is like very very smooth I think not. Try a standard eraser first maybe. I just clean my strop with scraping or ultra fine sandpaper like 2500 or 5000. But I also don’t need to restore it often as I don’t use much compound on it.
