Printed on North Korean Labour camp toilet paper
Whilst the manual is useful & perhaps only a guide ; you don't really find out how useful it is until you undertake a given job.Regarding the quality of the book - I am not sure how you would go about sourcing such utterly crap pictures & paper that the book uses.I think you would have to go to inordinate lengths to get such a specification. The conversation would go like this. "We want the worst paper you can find"."Oh no ; that is way too good""I will see if we can get some of the paper that the North Koreans have rejected that they use as toilet paper in their forced labour camps".Honestly there is no excuse for printing like this today.

Useful as ever but paper quality is low
The essential buy if you plan to do any servicing work yourself. Whilst the information is as good in this one as any other Haynes manual, I would really have liked to see better quality paper used in this edition....being as thin as toilet paper is both a bit unpleasant plus if you are using the book outside whilst working on your Landy, the slightest breeze unhelpfully flips the pages for you far too easily. Also a hardback edition would be more practical - the paperback folds easily and flops into the engine bay if you’re trying to refer to it whilst doing a job. Looks like we have no choice, though....only the paperback is being offered. Symptomatic of an industry that doesn’t want Joe Public messing about under the bonnet any longer.

Unfortunately not available in Hardback from Haynes.
It's a shame that it is not available in hardback version, which is better wearing when someone is doing DIY on a vehicle in a workshop. I contacted Haynes direct and they advised that they are no longer producng hardback versions... ...what a shame. Hopefull they might consider if the feedaback (like my review) highlights this issue.

Great content, printed on cheap paper
Great content, well written, well set out, easy to follow and nice ‘difficulty indicator’ to show level of experience required for each job. The paper quality is a let down and all the pictures are grey so difficult to see some of them clearly. I’m a beginner so this is a good book for me to start with.

Yes the paper is extremely poor quality and it's not a hardback
Yes the paper is extremely poor quality and it's not a hardback. But the content is still the usual high quality you would expect from Haynes. But in this day and age, the low quality black and white photographs, on the poor quality paper feel very sub standard.
