Invaluable Studio Tool
I own 8 of these for my racks of preamps and other outboard gear. No digging around the back of a rack to route signals. The only issue I have found is that some of the units seem to be fabricated such that they take up just slightly more than one rack space. For me this hasn’t been a huge issue because I bought racks with plenty of extra space, but just be aware. Quality of XLR jacks is excellent, no degradation in signal passing through these jacks. Reversibility is easy and really makes these versatile.

Simple, Clean, and Effective
I used this little unit in my studio to make the rear input on my audio interface more easily accessible. Using decent quality cables I could detect no degredation in audio quality, and, of couse, the ease of making connections is great. Not a lot to say here. It is an inexpensive quality solution that works. If that is what you want, this will do the job. nuff said.

Ingenious!
This thing is EXACTLY what I needed! Having the ability to swap the gender of individual jacks makes this worth every penny. I would have preferred metal jacks (or, Neutrik brand, at least), but the quality and craftsmanship are flawless. I'm happy that I've solved the front-to-back patching hassle on my mobile mixer rig!

Works well, OPEN on the bottom
Just got mine. All connections work, it's sturdy, and sound quality is there. I like that the connections are reversible too (just use a screwdriver and turn 1 or more around within the casing). However, there are no pictures of the bottom of this unit, and I was surprised to see when I received it - OPEN at the bottom. No metal plate, just open, showing all the guts. Seems like a shortcut. It was a new item, in the box, wrapped up by HOSA. I assume this makes it easier to flip the connections around? But it also opens up the components to damage and dust/debris. It works well, and I have it sandwiched between 2 other units, but just something to know.

So practical, versatile, and reversible,
Needed easy access to XLR connectors of rack-mounted equipment and this is prefect. Easy to reverse connectors tp accommodate inputs or outputs.

Decent
Nice unit, only thing I didn't like is the connectors are a bit flimsy, loose fitting on a cable.

May be difficult to expand with other D series components
This unit is sturdy and easy remove and flip connectors. However, if you are planning to replace some of the XLR ports with other things 1/4”, combo jacks, etc you may find it challenging to add them. The holes in the chassis are 22mm in diameter, but most other D series gear requires about 23.5mm to fit. So I ended up having to use a drill with a grinding bit to widen the holes. It worked, but was a clunkier install than I had hoped.
