Not as expected
I bought this because due to arthritis in my hands, the waiter’s model, which I prefer, is a bit trying. My old one similar to this broke awhile back so I was expecting it to operate the same. However, it does remove the cork from the bottle ok, but doesn’t release it with out manually twisting it. Large and cumbersome, too.

screw is too shallow and generates cork pieces - hard to start
the screw on it is rather shallow and it's difficult to start. winds up generating cork pieces. other than that, it's a solid quality opener.

It broke within the first week. The gears strip out and the handles are constructed so cheaply that everything is loose and doesn’t function properly.

Not well made
I wanted something to reliably open wine and beer bottles, to replace a perfectly good corkscrew I lost. The first time I removed a beer cap the metal shaft bent slightly. It is still usable, but leads me to believe it will not last long. The cork screw is shallower than the one I had. It has worked so far, but I would rather have a heftier screw for tight or crumbly corks. The surface of the shaft is roughly cast, so that in some positions pulling the levers down results in resistance as it goes over rough spots. In sum, this corkscrew appears poorly made for its purpose.

Not a good bottle opener
Very unhappy with this bottle opener. It has a tendency to break the cork apart.
