It moves smoothly, the magnetic function aligns the turns well, and feels good in your hand. The magnets are not strong enough, however, to pull an incomplete turn together, nor to stop a "flick" turn if too much force is accidentally used. Other cubes are available for a few dollars more where the magnets seem to be a bit bigger and stronger, but for one of the lowrst-cost models on the market, this one performs well enough that some people may not notice much of a difference--this would really come into play with someone who is trying to get very fast, but at that point they're probably going to invest in a higher end GAN or Moyu costing at least a few times this much, anyway.If you've got a friend, kid, or are looking for a good cube that "feels" much more expensive than it costs, this is a great entry level model.
