Turnkey system for the non-plumber and/or the retrofit sink or tub.
Perfect install, no snags, well written instructions,. and hose connections that are solid and simple. Its as if they sent me the exact kit for this 1950's vomit-green bath lavatory that I'm desperately trying to resurrect while lacking valves, knobs and hoses. Tried to source out and buy the parts separately since I already have original faucet, but 1) an American standard contender was too expensive for this restore, and 2) finding a universal stand-alone, or even kit-included , (ever elusive) valve-body or valve seat as well as a universal separate T-hose connecting system for a "WIDESPREAD" sink system at the local HD/Lowes was frustratingly mpossible and way over the heads of their staff. I finally caved and bought this kit, essentially a universal retrofit for "widespread" layouts (isolated hot and cold valves feeding common faucet). This was a blessing, in that it not only was the universal retrofit kit, but also solid quality parts and manual.

use caution!!!!
2 things of concern on this set:1. the faucet is 2 piece, with the basr mount goin to the sink 1st, no problem. Attaching the faucet to a threaded shaft is DONE FROM THE TOP THRU POP UP VALVE HOLE, NOWHERE IS THIS MENTIONED IN THE DIRECTIONS.2. This drain is set up for dinks with OVERFLOWS!! If, as I did, you are using a marble or single sided sink bowl you have to create a spacer with a 1 1/4 piece of PVC and a 2nd washer to seal it under youe sink.Other than these 2 things the set is well made and installs easily and looks great with granite......

Worked great to replace old leaky/corroded parts!
My bathroom faucet started leaking, and upon taking it apart and saw how corroded everything was I realized it was probably time to just replace all the parts rather than just the valve inserts that were most likely the culprit. Everything came apart pretty easily, and went back together even easier. No more leaky faucets, and everything works like new again!

Very good product
Somethings were missing but overall got to finish the job. Moen really built better quality products compare to its competitors.

Its a Moan and its affordable.
The price is right. I researched this faucet piece and of course Amazon had the best price.

Poor quality and poor customer service
I am not a professional plumber but I have installed lots of toilets, shower valves, faucets, dishwashers and water supply and drain lines in my 49 years. This rough-in is part of a system where you install the valve but then easily switch out the decorative parts as styles change. That is a pretty good idea, but you pay for it. The combination of faucet and this rough-in are quite a bit more expensive than comparable faucets from other brands.I installed this valve and the hot water side wouldn't completely shut off. While it was disappointing, things like this do happen. So I called Moen in the middle of the day on Monday and an automated system tells me that they have a high call volume (imagine that) and my choices are to 1. schedule a call back or 2. end the call. So I choose to schedule a call back and it gives me the options of Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (and this is Monday). So I select Wednesday and it prompts me to enter a time between 9AM and 7PM. I enter 9 and it says it isn't available. Then I enter 9:30..same response. Then I enter 10...same. Then I enter 2PM and get the same result, but this time it says "you have exceeded your number of tries, goodbye". So I wait an hour and call back and by then it only gave me the option of Thursday or Friday so I picked an option late in the day and it accepted it. So if you have any issues, you have to wait 4 days for a response from them. I am sure it is a cartridge so I just ended up ordering one off of Amazon. I removed the bad one and disassembled the valve and found that it had been assembled incorrectly at the factory. After messing with it for a while I finally got it back in and it works now.I once called Delta to ask why my shower head/spray combo had a 52" hose instead of the 60" the website claimed it had. I got in contact with someone in 5 minutes and they sent it out with overnight shipping. I had it 14 hours later. I once installed an American Standard toilet and then later noticed a hairline crack on the front of the bowl. I reached someone within a few minutes and they shipped me a brand new bowl. Moen either needs to make better products that have fewer problems or hire more tech support staff to handle the problems.
