Very Good Performance in Well Lit Applications
Works well in well lit situations. The sensor of the X3 packaged for the RS. Has decent focus distance for vlog style self-shooting and works well for other tasks. Like most all action camera lenses, this is not for low light. I don't hold that against it, b/c until you get to the 1" sensors, none of them work well for low light.

Massive 6k Wide-screen mode, and Log Video Profile!!
This camera, and especially this lens, is an impressive beast of an action camera. It's remained scratch-free for 6mo of consistent use. While I keep a lens cover on it, it's taken its fair share of abuse and keeps on ticking! Very impressed with the durability and modularity, as those are typically mutually-exclusive aspects of technology... if it's modular, it's typically pretty fragile, but not this camera! This lens in particular is amazing. It offer 48MP still images, as well as incredibly stable action-camera style footage. The slowmo modes are great in medium and bright lighting, and the normal modes do pretty dang great even in low light. As a filmmaker, I'll be using these in future films. I was so impressed by the 6k widescreen and log profile that I ended up getting a second one. Charges insanely fast, and is very reliable when it comes to recordings. Just check your mode to be sure you didn't bump the screen and accidentally start recording a time-lapse when you meant to take a normal video!

Poor quality lots of banding in sky and other issues
This camera is noisy even at iso 100, the images have a lot of bit noise. Comparing to the 360 1 inch edition blown up to a similar POV, I think the 360 looks better, which makes no sense. The GoPro I also tried this against, and it looked better. Putting a high quality ND filter on the front, really produced a mushy image. The stabilization is good, but the image for anything other than social media is poor. It was also kind of decent with flare. Also file management is poor, you have to use the app to make deliverables.
