So far, so good
Neat and compact, quite attractive (especially if you're an Apple devotee, won't look out of place with the rest of your gadgets), reasonable speed performance for a spinning disk. Well priced for the capacity, at least in the 'brand with support' space - obviously you can get a Chinese no-name device much cheaper.Plays nicely with Mac straight out of the box, so far a really good device to use with Time Machine. The real test will be longevity, which it's too early to comment on.

Failed after 4 months
The 1TB LaCie drive was used for Time Machine. It was bought in May and failed in September of the same year. I am not able to reformat or wipe the drive. Seagate offered a replacement but only if I sent them the drive that contains all my computer's data. Moral: encrypt your drives.

Not sure really what to say other than it’s easy to set up and small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Easy to slip into a travel case. Nicely finished and built well.

LaCie Mobile Drive 2 TB is top
Zoals bijna altijd snel geleverd. Goede stevige verpakking. Uitgepakt en direct verbonden met mijn iMac. Heb wel geen gebruik gemaakt van het gratis kennismakingspakket van Adobe. Heb al het " fotografie" abonnement. Nu de drive doet goed zijn werk, wordt gebruikt om alle documenten, en muziek op te bewaren, dit om de harde schijf van de iMac niet te gebruiken voor de opslag van deze zaken. Mijn foto's bv staan ook op een aparte LaCie Mobile Drive, wel die van 6TB ! (zijn er meer dan 130.000)Beide werken zeer goed. LaCie is gewoon zeer goed, gewoon aansluiten en je kan verder werken.
