My Sharpe series now fully complete, including the one coming out in October (thanks to Amazon pre-order service).I now have 100% of all Bernard Cornwell's books :-)!!

Was good to get 20 books for the price asked

Purchased this bundle for my son who has recently got back into reading. He loves this writer and this series. The box set is great value, when comparing to the individual and/or smaller box set prices. Delivery was swift and the books were well packaged - they are sealed in plastic which was great as they were delivered on a very wet day yet remained undamaged.

If it ain't broke don't fix it is an adage that works well here. Good old fashioned ripping yarns of daring do with good reliance on adapted historical fact. Engaging characters and depictions of real figures- the key chosen men (especially Harper, are fantastic. At times you do have to question how many times Sharpe himself can be so or wounded and survive- thank God for Pat's maggots. Newer books in the series fit into the chronology of fact well but do change elements of Sharpe's life and then reference each other with plots never mentioned in the older books.

I watched the television series which I really enjoyed so I decided to get the books I absolutely them, They are much better than the television series. It's hard to put them down.
