Really helps getting that garlic chopped quickly

Having chopped, grated and minced garlic cloves all my long life, I was looking very forward to the arrival of this rocker for holiday cooking chores. It didn't live up to the description. It is not effortless. The item's images show a jumbo clove ready to be 'rocked.' I thought this is going to be very easy, but it required the same amount of strength/force as the press I usually use, so I cut the cloves into smaller slices. It still required such force to mince the garlic through the rocker holes. The product's description refer to it as "effortless," which is totally false. I thought the concept of this rocker was that the mincing holes would be little razors as to glide through the cloves, but this item is not sharp at all. If you watch the video, it doesn't even show the product actually being used to show prospective customers how it works. So be aware if you have little hand strength or arthritis that it requires effort. As for 'ease of cleaning' it takes the same regime to clean it as does my garlic press. It also is rust resistant which tells me it won't be long before I have to toss it. My next purchase will be made of stainless steel.

I found that the device did not mince the garlic as easily as shown on the video. It does more crushing of the garlic instead of having it push pieces through. Maybe if the holes were a bit larger it would be more effective !

I had my doubts, but was amazed at how quick the results when dicing garlic. I probably wouldn't have purchased this if I knew how to chop and minced like a real Chef. I am thrilled to have added this kitchen must have amongst my other utensils.
