AMANARSKP0009 Universal Control Board

I purchased a package terminal ac unit ( like the one you see in a hotel room) and the control board went bad. The unit was less than one year old and under warranty but Amana could not get anyone to repair it and they. gave me the run around for over a month. I found the needed parts on Amazon and did the repair myself at my expense. .The unit works great now .Thank you Amazon.

I purchased this control because my unit stopped responding to the temperature setting. Installation was fairly straight forward for someone that is familiar working with electricity (CAUTION ! This unit requires you work with high voltages and capacitors that can kill you if you are not careful). Because I had an older style control with analog twist knobs the install took a bit longer because you have to install new inside and outside thermocouple (both included) otherwise the entire install could be done without pulling the unit out.After the install everything works perfectly and the digital control brings a new feature where the unit will take air samples between every 5 &15 minutes and adjust depending on how far off the sample is from the set point.Overall i am pleased with the purchase.

The Universal Control Board was not compatible for my old (1996?) Amana heat pump. Attempts to return it have been unsuccessful. It may be a great control board, but not being able to return it is disappointing.

This unit was a perfect replacement/upgrade to my damaged controller. With a little confidence and electrical know-how, it's very simple to install. Now my A/C works, and the digital thermostat is a huge improvement to the old dial style that I replaced

A few weeks ago my 2001 Amana PTAC stopped working for the first time. The trouble light was blinking 4 times fast. That code was not in the manual, so looked up online & spoke with an Goodman-Amana rep. (Jim). I was told the 4 blinks means "Mode Switch Failure". My unit had the old turn knobs for fan/heat/cool (not digital). Jim advised that the repair required replacement of the circuit board in the unit. I asked him if this RSK0009 control board would work on my unit (converts to digital controls). He advised that it should work fine. So, I purchased it & had my electrician friend install it for me. Turned out great - only took him 35-40 minutes to replace it. Now, I can preset exact temperatures to maintain and switch from heat to cool with press of a button. My Amana unit now works just like a newer model for a minimal investment ($180 + $50 installation). Highly recommend this to anyone for a similar fix or upgrade. I tried to load before & after pics but, could not get them to upload.

This control board fixed the problem of my air conditioning unit not doing anything. The display was dead and not responsive. This was an easy fix and I am back in business and comfortable.
