It is past time for me to sharpen my hand axe and bigger axe. The included file has a good feel to it and is made from the right materials. Included is an exceptional how to book and a fine catalog. They included their history with some old pictures. The stone came in a screw top can protect it from damage. I also purchased the leather belt loop pouch. I was really impressed with the fit and thickness of the leather. Very generous and shows good customer care!

This works exactly as advertised. Made in Germany by a great company. I just honed an Estwing hatchet way sharper than it was when I bought it new. Worked perfectly on an old Collins axe too. This puck is much easier to use than a bench stone. Highly recommended.

Quality stone and pouch. When using my axe or hatchet, this is on my belt.

This is a good stone to sharpen an axe. It is easy to hold and has the required coarse and fine grits to do the job. Ultimately sharpening a knife or axe is more about technique than it is the stones you use. It is nice that some guard oil is included.

Didn't like the price but works well for sharpening an axe if it's not extremely dull to begin with.Start with a file and finish with this stone.

Works excellent… So much easier to use than the small rectangle knife stones. This one fits in the palm of your hand and is very easy to sharpen a hatchet Or an axe with, I’ve used it for both.

I do not need to sharpen my axe as of yet. This stone seems it will do the trick. Will review again as needed.
