Review: Bought for a 4 year old because of the warranty - What's good: - discount for trading in an old tablet (20% off) was smooth and very easy to manage - peace of mind knowing it can be replaced under warranty if my child damages it accidentally - able to pay in small interest free installments - easy for my daughter to navigate in her own profile - parental controls means apps can't be downloaded without my permission - able to remove the likes of YouTube which I really notice hooks my kids in a really bad way - ability to easily control the amount of screen time the kids have as it automatically switches off after they reach a pre set limit (you can adjust this for weekdays and weekends) - cover is amazing, how this tablet hasn't been smashed yet I have no idea What I don't like: - search functions could be better. Sometimes my daughter hits several apps at once and then it can be hard to navigate back to one she likes - deleting apps is a bit glitchy. For example my daughter selects the same thing which requires content to be paid for or the app can't really be used. I'd like to delete said app altogether from her home screen but a thumbnail seems to stay there with the ability to be clicked on again even after deleting, so she inevitably clicks on it again to download and the cycle is repeated. Just seems a little glitchy/not user friendly to me on this end. - they do slow down significantly after 1-2 years of use, taking longer to download and start up games etc. Even after freeing up memory - Saving to the SD card seems hit and miss. Not everything seems to save there and I can't find an easy way to manage what saves to the card and what doesn't, so I often get messages about insufficient memory to run things when there is a nearly full SD card available. But overall these are very good for the purpose intended, a good price point and the warranty for kids is excellent.
Review: Fantastic tablet for our 4yr old - If you're looking for a great little tablet for your child which has great content included and offers a 2 year replacement then you can't go wrong with this which arrives with a colourful case which keeps the tablet protected from drops (something that will be inevitable with kids) The screen is very good, just as good as our daughters android tablet, has good storage capacity which can be extended and as for battery life it has lasted for ages whilst being used for games, education and watching kids YouTube with very good sound quality. We have often had to tell our little boy to turn the volume down lol. The good thing with these tablets is the parents/carer can govern screen time etc etc with desertcart giving you total control over content and what can be downloaded etc etc and can be linked to a parents desertcart account. App downloading can be set so adults are sent a notification before the tablet is allowed to download said app amongst other controls you'll have access to. We managed to get this when it was on sale with a super discount when we bought it saving us about £60 from the usual price of £149.99 which was a total bargain. desertcart often have sales on their devices but tbh I would have paid the near £150 for this regardless as the included content and the 2 year worry free guarantee gives you peace of mind should the tablet stop working etc and you know that desertcart will send a replacement quickly too as their customer service is always top notch. These tablets are fantastically designed and suited for the younger tech savvy kids for home or on the go (travelling) entertainment and education. So glad we got this for our boy.
