Me reading the reviews I should’ve listened to the reviews it definitely doesn’t work for iOS

I was very excited to receive this product, as it was reported to address my need for an iOS scanner.The physical unit seems well-designed and constructed. The scan can be initiated easily.My issues are the following:-The webpage never mentions that software development is required for any function to work.-Initially, I tried my best to connect with Bluetooth, but the BT radio was not visible on either my iPhone or iPad.-There is no mention of specific length requirement for the phone to fit in the cradle. It does not support my phone out of the case (photo) and further, when I tried it with the case on, the rubber strip at the top pressed on my ON/OFF button, making it useless (photo).-From the very limited manual, there is a link to a Test program, however it reports that it is only for Android.I found a link to an iOS SDK folder, but it appears that there is no way to actually evaluate this product as delivered without extensive coding.It is possible that more detailed instruction could have been provided to mitigate my failures, but I can not recommend the device as Described or Delivered.

I ordered this in hopes of having a portable receipt printer for my customers while on the go.The unit itself is very well built and seems quite durable.Now for the downsides:This device requires specifics softwares to function at all. That was greatly disappointing as I did not see this when looking at the Amazon page for this.The Bluetooth was not even recognized on my iPhone 13 Pro Max no matter how many times I tried.There is a QR Code to test the software, however it states it is only for android. That was disappointing.I gave it 2 stars because of the build quality.

Being today’s standard phone sizes without a case are actually larger than this older phone with a case, I presume this product will not fit the majority of newer phones.Overall, I am a bit confused why a product being sold in today’s market would not fit the standard size of today’s phones being it is specifically marketed to fit a smart phone.

This is so easy to use! I couldn't make use of the app that the booklet said to use but I did download 2 random Bluetooth thermal printer apps on the play store and they worked great. It is super responsive and easy to pair with a phone. The pictures I added is 2 different types of paper I used in this printer. Loading the paper is easy and paper is easily ripped. The battery lasts a long time and auto shuts off after not being used to preserve battery.I can't figure out how to use the barcode reader yet. It's not as simple as I hoped. I also tried to use some thermal labels and they won't work. These are probably user errors but I still wanted to mention them.I highly recommend this for anyone with a small business. But your success with this is the app you use. The machine is solid and good but the app and setup of that app is the most important to have a good looking receipt.
