Q: Is this comforter thick enough to be warm on a bed?

The comforter is lovely and soft, however it would not be thick enough in my opinion to be your main comforter, you would need additional blankets underneath for the cold weather. It would work for warmer weather.

Q: Is the lightest color a good match if laid on an Ivory colored quilt?

yes I put it on an ivory fur couch and it looks nice but the color is not that light. I like the contrast.

Q: How are the front and back swen together? What i mean is, is it just stiched around the outside of two pieces of fabric ?
