Nice products, wonderful music

I consider myself a fairly average guitarist and purchased this book in the hope of some decent tabs of Pull Me Under, Another Day, Take the Time, but especially for Learning to Live (could not find accurate online tabs for that song). The tab for the first 3 above mentioned songs was 99.99999% correct, completely accurate except for notes placed on the wrong string in a few places and a couple missing measures of the Take the Time outro guitar solo. After going over those first few songs my outlook was pretty positive on the accuracy of this book.... but then I turned to Learning to Live... man, was I disappointed! First off I noticed that some chords in the intro section were slightly off (G5 should have been Gsus2 etc.). The guitar/keyboard fill during the Chorus was slightly off (and used terrible fingering positions). The riff under the second verse (Listening to the city...) was tabbed out once and then said to play that same thing another 5 times even though there were distinct modifications done to the riff throughout that verse. The arpeggios during the bridge (Another day to live my life....) were off and lazily tabbed. During the instrumental section, there were some inaccuracies such as the guitar fill underneath the piano break before the second guitar solo (one thing I needed help getting) and the last 2 measures of the guitar/keyboard duet before the keyboard solo. I could go on and on but hopefully, you get the point. I cannot speak for the tabs of the other songs but I would recommend this as a baseline tab for anyone who wants to get into learning some of these songs, as many of the tabs are actually quite good. But when it comes to Learning to Live, consult multiple other sources and live performances for a more accurate tab.

The quality of the printed characters and notes is not very clear.

An excellent tab book; easy to read and understand. Besides a few errors in the tab itself (fret numbers on the wrong string etc.) and some mistakes with the lyrics (its really quite funny how wrong they are in some places) I can't see anything wrong with this book. A must for anyone who just can't seem to get Metropolis, or any other song off this album to sound right on their own.

It’s cool, some of the translations are hard to read be overall good.

Tengo varios libros de partitura/tablatura de la misma editorial y este es el de peor calidad. La portada está muy oscura y la calidad del papel y la impresión dejan mucho que desear. Sin embargo, la entrega muy veloz y gratis con prime. Aún así vale la pena tenerlo ya que esta transcrito por el mismo John Petrucci, cosa que en otros libros ya no sucede.

Rien à dire. La tab de l'album qui m'a fait découvrir Dream Theater il y a des années. Du rêve en tablatures. L'impression n'est pas d'aussi bonne qualité que sur les derniers, mais on peut tout de même lire très clairement les notes. Si vous aimez l'album, achetez ce songbook! Vous avez là de quoi vous inspirer dans de nombreux styles, de nombreux modes, travailler votre technique...Bien plus qu'un songbook. Travailler les plans de cet ouvrage est une méthode à part entière et une source d'inspiration pour un album parfait composé il y a plus de 20 ans.
