I've bought 2 of these.. they only lasted about a year but they're pretty cheap, but it's about $50 for aqua uv brand bulb which aqua uv is better brand but double cost..so these are cheap so will not last

AMAZON, you need SIX stars.. This thing is a monster, you could run over it with my Ford F150! Yes, I was very hesitant in purchasing… made in China, about half the price of the Coralife that has been known for quality for a zillion years.. Well, this blew me away, look at my pictures, seeing is believing . 1) Transformer and LONG power cord. the Amazon pic makes the transformer look small, so I was concerned about quality… NOT 2) every plumbing connection you could ever need for a pond, and good quality, ok, not for an aquarium but $4 at Home Depot and you have a 2" to 3/4 reduction and 5/8" barb fitting and you are all set.3) Plastic? Yes, but I promise, you have never seen anything of this thickness and quality from anyone else, on UV lights, on canister filters, ANYTHING for an aquarium.4) Bulb replacement is the twist on the head and done! 5) Larger enough to give water dwell time in the UV, yes, larger than anything else on the market.Bottom line: I have seen no product, of any type, for an aquarium, that comes close to matching the quality I just received...

The media could not be loaded.  When I received UV Light I was a little blown away with the shear size. As it ran for two weeks the water cleared I was really impressed. I upgraded my pump this week so I had to tare things down because of resized the tubing. I noticed it was wet under the UV light, hmm, didn't think anything about it at the time. Screwing things back together I turned the pump on but didn't put the UV light in place because I wanted to make sure there were no leaks with the connections. The only leak was water shooting out of the hair line cracks from the bottom of this UV Light. I tried to contact seller to get an exchange but I guess I just have to get a refund since they approved the refund & still haven't contacted me back. Two stars is for the impressive size & wattage of the light. I'm sure this is a defect of this one that I have, it happens I understand. Product on the way back & hopefully no issues with refund. Oh well I'll move on to another product.

Easy to install

We had used chemicals on a constant basis, not my idea, but did not work at all. I went ahead and bought this ultraviolet light and installed it, WOW, the water cleared up so clear, we could see the tiniest little particle at the bottom of our 48" deep Koi pond. We can actually see our fish and we can see them from the deck.

This is much better than the previous unit I had where the pump has a tiny UV light inside. This light is very good size, easy to hook up with either 1 inch tubing or use screw on PVC fittings. Water clarity is the best it has ever been and the fish love it.

Effective in controlling the algae bloom in my Koi pond

It's a uv light. It cleared my pond up my 3000 gallon pond in a week. Went from pea soup to Crystal clear. Very happy
