NYNE NB-200 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with Bicycle Clips (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Bluetooth pairing, easy.Sound, fantastic for size and weight.Mounting, weak.Customer service: DubiousThe clips are god awful. NYNE, do something about this. You've got a great little speaker here, and it's almost worthless because the cheap plastic mounts are crap. They will break. I broke one of mine trying to mount the thing on my bike for the first time. Screw stripped right out. I used Zapagap and Zipkicker on the broken one and the unbroken one for good measure. It's not going anywhere now. The fact that it broke made it 1 star, the fact that I could fix it brought it back up to 4. If it hadn't broke to begin with, I'd give it a 5. I'll see how they hold up, but if those clips break again or in an irreparable way, I'll be back here letting people know about it.Update: The clips broke again. I emailed their support people on Sept 1st, a Sunday. I received a reply on Sept 3rd, Tuesday. Sept 2nd was labor day so I didn't expect a reply then. I was encouraged by the quick response. They asked for a copy of my receipt so I forwarded my amazon transaction that same day. I heard nothing back. On the 9th I emailed again asking for an update, but did not receive one. On the 12th I attempted to call their help line (perma-hold) and the direct number from the email they sent (voice mail). I posted on their facebook page requesting attention. I received a response quickly and an email shortly after that indicating my order would be shipped the next day. The packing slip indicates that the ship request was issued on the 12th. The shipping label on the package indicates that it wasn't actually shipped until the 20th (from the west coast). I did not receive it until the 23rd (on the east coast. Good job USPS, not so much, Nyne).The clips appear very similar to the ones the speaker shipped with, but the plastic does seem a bit stronger. Time will tell. It would be nice if there was an option to order spare clips, or even just additional clips so I could attach the speaker to different bikes, the lawn mower, a boat, or what ever. I use the speaker all the time, at my desk at work, in the company vehicle that doesn't have bluetooth, working on projects around the house. The speaker is great, it's just these bloody clips. Reduced it to 3 stars.

I have been searching several weeks now for a good solid performing bike speaker. while this one claims it holds up under extreme conditions, ie; wind, speed, I disagree.At avg volume. and while riding very slow with ZERO wind. it is good. If you're looking for one that cranks out quality sounds while riding at a med speeds. forget it!! Like the rest of the reviews, the connections suck but i rigged mine up differently.Here are the specifics..at 6 - 12 MPH, it worked good with no wind. At 12-16MPH it was barely audible. I had mine mounted on the back of my seat. So others could hear it behind me. as tha'ts where most riders are. With mild winds - 5-10 mph and bike speeds up to 14........forget it. you can't even hear it. It home outside when it is quiet, it sounds great. It is easy to use and it connects with some difficulty but that just might be my phone. good luck

The Nyne NB200 is an amazing speaker for its size. The sound clarity is excellent with little distortion, even at high levels.I am very happy with the speaker itself. I do have a couple of criticisms. I bought it as a speaker for my bicycle. The mounting brackets for the bicycle were weak and the base was poorly designed. I had to epoxy the base to the mounts as the screws provided to hold them together fell apart when I tightened the brackets. After I epoxied them, the brackets worked fine. Another problem was that I could not pair it with my bluetooth device. I have an ipod classic with a Sony plug in transmitter that has paired successfully with other devices. However I could not get it to pair with the Nyne speaker. So I had to use the provided connecting mini jack wire to connect the ipod to the speaker. Attempts to contact Nyne about the pairing problem have been fruitless so far. The speaker is great though.

The speaker is quite loud, sounds good and the battery lasts a long time for it's size and priceThe hardware that is included to mount this to a bike is not up for the task. The mounting brackets are made with very thin flimsy plastic that is affixed to the speaker by two tiny 1/4" long screws. It came apart before I even got it mounted on my bike.If you want a decent inexpensive speaker buy this. If you want to mount it to your bike, your going to need to figure something else out because the included hardware is useless. Perhaps a couple bungee cords would do the trick.

It's a great device. I'm a huge audiophile and while I'm not going to sit here and tell you it has booming bass or gets EXTREMELY ear blistering loud I'm going to tell you while it's a very great product. The sound is very clean, it produces a lot for the size. Things other reviewers don't take into consideration is the fact that other competitors out there sound much worse and don't even give you a Bluetooth option for roughly the same price. I notice people like to compare it to what a $200 Bluetooth tube might cost. I think for the money it's AWESOME, clips work great I haven't experienced other reviewers problems. I'd buy this item all day long & unless your biking next to a gang of motorcycles I think the sound is going to be loud enough.

It did not meet my expectations, it's a nice quality built speaker with great sound, I thought it was bigger, considering I researched a good speaker with good bass, this one came up and it's not that. Ita a good speaker with a clear sound and defiantly worth the money, but not for me.

The look and styling are nice. The brackets that hold the speaker on the handle bar broke on the first attempt to install. I replaced the tiny SMS with a machine screw and nut which took care of that problem, but then I discovered the each time you turned on the unit you had to re-pair it with the phone. It did not remember the device. That was it, back it goes.

The speaker is a great deal but the mounts broke the first time we tried to attach them. Unfortunately we didn't read the other reviews prior to making our purchase....hopefully we can find a fix that will hold it to the handlebars.

One of the worst bluetooth speaker in the world, dose not stay 1 minute after charging 3 hours..don't go on price. Product is in luxury products group but it's fake product. 100% waste of money.. I have very good experience.. I would say if you people want buy good bluetooth speaker. go for portronics bt I think RS 2600 is much cheaper then 4100.. And quality of the portronics bt is much better then this NYNE NB-200 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with Bicycle Clips.. Don't go for this you will regret.. I don't blame amazon, but the seller. 0 star 🌟 for this product....

JUST DON'T GO FOR THIS PRODUCTIt doesn't have any battery backup, wasted around 6-7K and then have to return it back wasting around a month as got it from an international seller.
