I like the weight of the chain and you can remove links if you want it smaller. I got the 20 inch. 18" inch would have fit like a choker.Good value and 14mm was the perfect thickness for me.I've had this for over 2 week's and it hasnt bothered my skin at all or changed color. I don't understand the complaints about size. Measure your neck beforehand so you know what size works best for you. Regarding opening it, open from the largest side in the back and lift up the lid. Looks great at first but tarnishes quickly. Barely worn, kept it away from water but still tarnished way too fast.
