It holds standard kitchen garbage bags and the bags that come with it are of great quality (so might actually buy them from now on). I've used this trash bin for quite a while now. I like the rectangular design and the foot pedal works flawlessly every time. I used up the sample bags that came with it but with a bit of stretching at the top, the unit will take standard us 13 gallon bags.
