Cheap and cheerful. What else can I say ? I bought a few times already. I use quite some USB and micro SD card for business. This product works fine for the purpose. Not fast, not greater enough? Look for something else more expensive, but I am not sure if those are really better.

due to variations in the quality of the flash memory chips, the controller used to manage data transfer, manufacturing inconsistencies, the same USB can have quite high variations of read/write speeds. mine ended up with an average of 14 MB/s read and 84 MB/s write.fine for a media drive like I wanted, but disappointing against the CrystalDiskMark testsbe sure to test your USB to ensure it meets your needs.over all, it is an excellent drive for the price, but manufacturing controls need to be much more consistent.

Many reviews mention speed is a little slow or not as fast as expected. I found that copying a 1GB file from my windows SSD to the drive took 8 seconds and averages out at approx 75mb/s but copying from my HDD on same system there were vast fluctuations in speed often dropping to sub mb speeds before shooting back up to 60mb/s. I wonder if it may be a system build issue, disk error on pc end but Im leaning towards the lower than expected performance to be due to either computer problems either disk drive or computer having only USB 2, 3.0 or 3.1 ports.Overall I find the drive excellent, quick and fairly designed although could be a little chunky if used on a congested motherboard, a dongle would help resolve that.Overall I think good performance and fair build priced at under £9 make for excellent value.

I bought this to add PVR capabilities to our new Hisense TV - and for that purpose it works a treat!At just over £12, it's also very reasonably priced.OK, it's a little bulky and not the quickest device around - though for my purposes it is more than adequate (our TV only requires a USB 2 drive to record live TV).Testing on a USB-A (3.2 Gen 1) port on my laptop, the device is a bit slower than advertised but the results are similar to those of other reviewers. It should be more than adequate for most day-to-day usage.So, for the price, I am rather chuffed 😀 😊

Bought one of these for DJing last year. Worked great until the day of a gig in March this year when it wouldnt allow me copy/write anything to it. Ran tests to remove write protection, tried formatting etc. and it was just that the USB was failing. Bought a replacement the day after, DJed with it a few weeks later and the load times for tracks took forever, to the point I had to loop one track playing for 6 minutes while waiting for the track I was mixing in to load on the other deck. Despite all this, just about got through the gig. DJed again the weekend, just gone, and the USB wouldnt even work this time, continually going into emergency loop after the first couple of bars of any track loaded. Fortunately I had some spare USBs and was able to copy tracks off of this one onto the old ones in the booth while playing, which was far from ideal. Need to now buy a new DJ usb for the 2nd time in two months, but it definitely wont be another one of these
