This book on the Treasures of Ukraine clearly and eloquently defuses Vladimir Putin’s assertion that there is no such thing as Ukrainian history and culture!! The rich traditions of Iconography, architecture, gold work, painting, etc., show clearly a distinct historical character, worthy of interest and respect. A book to be savored and enjoyed!!

Putin says there is no such thing as Ukrainian culture. The invaders destroy libraries holding Ukrainian cultural references. Get to know Ukrainian culture. I recommend the book Treasures of Ukraine - A Nation's Cultural Heritage by the Ukrainian author, Andrey Kurkov. You may also find his novel Grey Bees illuminating about the no man's land created by the bombing.

This book is full of amazing information about Ukraine 🇺🇦 and I'm sure that my mom will love it for Christmas!! (I'm enjoying it in the interim 😅)

The book is Interesting, but they could include way more treasures of Ukraine. There’s a lot of architecture and a chunk of weird selection of modern art which is not the most remarkable we have in Ukraine rn. A bit superficial. But nice design and it covers the essentials of the Ukrainian heritage. Not too much in depth information, doesn’t explain much the origins of everything, but the book covers the essentials. One of not so many nicely designed and illustrated books about history of Ukraine in English. Overall, probably best for English speakers who are just starting their acquaintance with Ukraine. Liked it !

For those who are interested in the true history of Ukraine, and not a lot of disinformation put out by the Russians.
