I ordered the Natures Mark, Mini Meditation Zen Garden, 7" x 6" Hexagon and the base was plastic, but it's a nicely finished and weighted plastic. It doesn't feel or look cheap. I would imagine this is the same.

Q: Is the Buddha attached to the base?

No it is not. None of the items are attached.

Q: How much sand is in the bag? Is it pkgd well so it doesnt leak out during shipment?

There is not enough sand, in my opinion, I think there should be double the amount of sand. It did not leak or spill out during shipment, and the stuff that comes with it is pretty cute. I bought a bag of sand from the dollar store and was able to use the garden.

Q: Says it comes with a succulent... but don’t see any in photos?

Mine didn't come with one. Only came with items pictured.
