My husband loves this!
He has a hydroponic garden and needed a new reader. After like 10+ years of use his old one finally died, and he said this one is WAY better and was also cheaper than the old one.So that’s a win-win for us!10/10 would purchase again

Yinmik is the absolute best
There's nothing I dislike about the same, it's very easy to use and understand. I bought one of their pH readers and liked it so much that I bought an easy reader by then as well and I truly couldn't be happier with either one.

It's a Winner
Really like this. Extremely accurate. Waterproof. Very easy to use. No calibration needed. Would recommend.

Nice and bright and easy to read display, battery cover seems to be stuck on
I am a novice and I'm just getting into hydroponics ,I ordered this to assist me in my adventure through the world of soil-less horticulture.I have done outdoor hydroponics for 2 years now, but now I am venturing into the indoors.my outdoor setups were mostly dutch buckets and the plants were very thirsty so the reservoir was going empty long before my solution could get out of balance. The dutch buckets use a drainable medium so there is less to go wrong than in a DWC or recirculating deep water culture setup like I am now running indoors.I opened this unit and tested it in distilled water first thing.I noticed that to my surprise it was not reading zero, I believe it was reading 0002 for TDS with pure distilled water,I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen but I cleaned the glass I put the water in really well then I poured in a small amount of distilled water. I'm really not sure why it was not reading at zero unless my jug of distilled water got contaminated somehow or if this is just within the normal range of error, I only have one other TDS meter but that is not for hydroponics and only reads to 3 decimal places, (it came with a zero water drinking water filter system)that meter read 000 when I submerged it in distilled water but I did not test it again with the same water I tested this unit with. Then I mixed up some standard General Hydroponics solution and tested that, it seemed to be reading lower than the stated range on the feeding schedule/mixing chart. Then I tested the water in my recirculating DWC system, which consists of three 4 gallon buckets all plumbed together at the bottoms to keep the same water level, 2 buckets with 1 site per bucket and the third bucket is the resovior. The water had been in there almost 2 weeks since last being changed.I was a bit surprised to see the TDS level was reading higherthan the freshly mixed solution I just tested (I cleaned the probe with distilled water and dried it thoroughly between readings)I guess I can chalk that up to evaporation. This meter is helping me to determine the ideal interval between water changes, instead of just blindly changing it out every week or two with fresh solution I can extend the time between changing the water and have less waste.the temperature probe has also been helpful to me,I was warned about recirculating DWC systems and water temps climbing too high because of the submersible pump generating too much heat.It is fall going into winter now and my setup is in an under car garage so I figured this would not be too much of a concern even though the garage is heated it is still very cool.on a warmer day my water temp was reading about 70 degrees F.On the cooler days it reads 65,so it seems to be working well so far.The display is very bright and easy to read but I find it does turn off automatically to conserve battery after a few seconds and you have to press the button to get it to come on again. When I first unboxed this unit I saw that there were a bunch of batteries included, at first I thought it didn't ship with the batteries inserted so I tried to remove the black cap at the top. After trying for a few minutes and not being able to get it to budge I decided to try and see if it was working, when I pressed one of the buttons it came on, so the batteries are extra replacement batteries.I really don't want to try and force the top open anymore than I already did, I just hope that the batteries last a long time because this thing doesn't seem to want to budge at all, it's really stuck on there good!
