The area rug was very secure. However, when we were doing some painting we had to take-up the rug, with the leveradge I had with the rug, it was well stuck to the corners. However, getting the Rug Gripper from the wood floor was another thing. It was very hard to remove...it was really stuck down! We didn't need that much stickum! Next time we will order a lighter adhesive...! **Q: will this rug gripper hold the carpet in place while using the vacuum cleaner?** A: Yes **Q: Can you use this to stick your area rug to carpet?** A: It did not work for me. I do like them to hold the corners down, that is a plus. But for area rug to carpet, I ended up using double sided carpet tape. All it took was one strip down the middle to hold it in place. So with the 4 corner grips and one piece of double sided tape, it doesn't move around. Hope this helps **Q: Is it easy to remove the rug tape?
