Q: Does this fit meal prep containers?

Yes, it's a nice size for that! I love mine

Q: Did yours come with a silica packet inside? Mine did not and it has a strong mildew smell.

I gave the bag as a gift to a friend.Not sure if it came with a silica packet.My friend is happy with her bag and has not told me of any mildew smell.

Q: Will this bag fit two meal prep containers?

Depending on your container size these bags would fit at least 2 if not 3 in the zippered insulated area. Ours measured apprx. 10.5" high x 11" wide x 6" across. The front zippered area is not insulated but would be great for accessories or personal items. It has an additional pocket with a Velcro closing. The back side has another zippered pocket. There are 2 webbed pockets on the sides good for bottles, etc. Really good bag. Easy to clean. You can fill this bag to the rim!
