$10 a box is way too high. The other version are half that much.
This is a product I like. The other versions that are half the cost of this one currently are more processes and not as good. This one used to be the same price as the other versions. So why has the price skyrocketed?

Cream of wheat 10 minuets
The flavor and price are good, even w/ out strawberry or blueberries or bananas, which I love to add.

The 10 minutes version tastes much better than the 3 minutes version.
I basically have this hot cereal for breakfast everyday. I don’t add any salt because I use a nondairy buttery spread that already contains salt. Sometimes I cook it in the microwave with cold unsweetened almond milk (1 cup, plus an extra tablespoon) because I like it smooth with no lumps. Most mornings, I use plan cold water. It takes about 2 and a half minutes in my microwave but I start on high for 1 minute first and then stir it. My microwave doesn’t have a turntable. After stirring, I microwave it on high for another minute. I can usually judge whether I need to cook it for another 30 seconds or more after it’s cooked for 2 minutes in the microwave.

Much too expensive
No doubt about it, this is the real deal. I like that it doesn’t contain the additives that allow the quicker versions to cook faster. But for $11/box?? For the part of the wheat they used to just throw away? There’s a well-known red mill out there selling their version (without the iron) for a fraction of this price. It’s as good as this - just follow the C of W recipe and not Bobby’s (too thick his way)Needless to say I won’t be buying this on Amazon again until the price becomes more reasonable.

Wonderful!
This deal was $14.99 for a package containing two boxes of "Cream of Wheat"-- each box weighing 1 pound, 12 ounces. A little pricey, maybe, but it's a versatile, delicious, and nutritious product. This, the 10 minute version, is the tastiest. The quick-cook version is bland and has a weird texture. Our family makes this with water, not milk, and then adds milk to taste when we serve it. Also, we cook it with less water than recommended, because we like to thin it out with milk when we serve it as cereal. As an alternative to cooking it on the stove, you can put your portion of dry cereal in a heat-safe dish and pour the required amount of boiling water over it. Give it a stir and cover it for 5 or 6 minutes. It thickens while you work on the rest of your meal. Some people like it completely smooth, but we like it with some lumps in it. We dress it to taste as we would oatmeal. The variations are limited only by your imagination: maple syrup, brown sugar, honey, dried fruit, nuts, cinnamon, toasted coconut, vanilla, etc., etc. It can be treated as you would treat a sweet or savory polenta, too. For something different, turn it into sweet or savory pancakes. Make a completely smooth batch. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper, and lightly spray it with non-stick spray. Spread the cooked cream of wheat evenly until it's about a 1\4 inch deep. Chill it. Once it's chilled, use a knife or cookie cutter to shape it into portions. Pan fry them on each side in a little butter, olive oil, or non-stick spray. They can be served as you would sweet pancakes: with butter, syrup, fruit, etc. For a savory take, place one in a bowl and top it with a portion of stew or soup or a casserole. Although, you don't have to turn it into a pancake in order to top it with any of these. For an even more savory flavor, stir herbs, roasted garlic, shallots, etc., into your "Cream of Wheat" as it's cooking. Again, it comes down to personal taste and imagination. It tastes wonderful topped with roasted veggies, marinara sauce, or, my favorite, a thick mushroom sauce.

a comforting & nourishing classic
I love cream of wheat, even just plain. This specific version is great because it doesn't have a bunch of added salt like the red one and others.

Just like the Cream of Wheat of my childhood!
I bought this to recreate the memories of the cereal my mother cooked for us in the early fifties winters. Yup. Exactly the same. Sooo good❣️
