Very informative
Amazing book. I have been trying so hard to lose weight. Eating salads and soups is always boring as I can't stick to it for a long time. This book is a boon for me as I can eat the usual Indian meals without feeling guilty. I am starting to see positive results also. I would recommend every woman to read it, specially girls suffering from pcos.

An extremely helpful book on PCOD and Thyroid
PCOD, PCOS and Thyroid related disorders are quite rampant in all over the world and especially in India. Rujuta has written a very detailed book on understanding these issues, diseases and challenges. She has also suggested in detail how to deal with these issues and lead a very happy life.It is true that there is no one particular remedy for all and therefore try these methods. Some will work for you and some may not. The author has given very good guidance, in detail, on what to follow and what not.Another aspect I liked about the book is that the methods to manage and get rid of the issues are all natural and not chemical solutions that many doctors prescribe. I loved that in the book. You know that you won't be harming yourself by trying these things out.A very Helpful book. A keeper.

Women must read this book.
I like to read this book. So informative and it feels like the author is really speaking to the reader. No tough language and no showing off. Rather, she teaches to respect our culture, tradition and the science behind everything.

great book.
I had ordered this book for my sister who is suffering from PCOD, she is very glad that finally she has some answers about this condition and how she can curb it using diet and fitness the indian way as opposed to the western way where they recommend a high-protein diet and extreme exercise. Irrespective of whether a woman has PCOD/Thyroid, i think that every household must have this book so that women can get a better hold on the roles hormones play and be fit. A book worth every paisa. We hope and wish that the author would write more books about nutrition for kids, nutrition during pregnancy and for diabetic people too. We need people who will show us the right way to better health than those who simply ask us to pop pills and wait for the "magic" to happen.

Informative and Engaging
This is a first for me from the author. The writing style is lucid, mixed with 'mumbaiyya hindi and lingo'. The good part is that nowhere does the author prescribe things that are difficult to execute. The approach and methodology thrives on the principle 'old is gold'! And to be fair to Rujuta, I would appreciate that candidness. There is no effort made to 'market' and 'promote' the products or diet plans worked out. To summarize, I would say that this book cannot be a bible or a substitute for doctors and dieticians for those who are currently dealing with thyroid / pcos, however, this book certainly helps us have a perspective on our changing lifestyles, the need to go back to where our grand mom's evolved recipes, lifestyles, diets have a rationale perspective on lifestyle disorders, and on the whole to be SIMPLE!

Average read
I am a big follower of Rujuta Diwekar.Got this to read about PCOD. Little disappointed.1. She has not talked about lean PCOS/ PCOD everyone with PCOS is not bulky. I would have loved if she talked about lean PCOD also.2. Beautifully explained PCOS and PCOD3. Never talked about a little also of the foods one can avoid or must take. Like tea - Spearmint etc.4. Ayurvedic doc said dairy is not good for PCOD. So does RD but no one mentioned is dairy not good for lean or bulky both or any one.4. Too many pages written about someone’s else daily eating habits.5. Examples of 14,46,66 year old ladies and their medicines. Just wanted to know were all three so naive to just follow medicine blindly. Wherein this generation before doc prescribes medicine people open google to read about it. Just a okay read RD. Please write more about this epidemic issue.

Honest and eye opening!!
Ms. Rujuta was the first Indian nutitionist that I came by, accidentally, and since then have been trying to read all her books. She is intelligent and open minded and yet traditional in the best of ways. Her scope of knowledge on fitness is just mind blowing and I try my best to keep up with these lovely habits that can make one feel lively and young. A must read for all women above the age of 13 years. Trust me you read one page and you will not be able to keep the book down. 💯 % useful and helpful tips.

Not good for reading
Good on information but too bad on the way of writing it. Could have been much better had the author also payed attention to the writing style. Does not feel like am reading a book.

deal with hair loss and gain weight this may be a useful book to understands hormonal related issues
If there are ladies particularly from the South-Asia continent and wonders why we crave rice, deal with hair loss and gain weight this may be a useful book to understands hormonal related issues....that does not mean that this book tells the above are the effects of PCOD/ PCOS/ thyroid issues...Rujuta takes a great deal to de-jargon PCOD/ PCOS/ thyroid problem and explains in detail why it happens! The best part is she actually gives a METHODOLOGY to follow to deal with PCOD/ PCOS/ thyroid problem and in 2 months...yes 2 months you can manage, reduce and discipline your lives with PCOD/ PCOS/ thyroid!!! Love the way this book is casual in writing and articulated to get the point thru!
