This Book is changing me, i bought this book as my marriage was not in a good place and in desperation i took to trying to find books on becoming a better husband, i picked this book on a whim but i am so glad i did.I bought this book in the hopes it would help me understand my wife better and become a better husband, what i didn't expect is that it would make me completely overhaul myself as a Man not just as a husband, i have made so many changes all for the better .I enjoyed the book so much Ive since Joined Jeffs online course and community, even if this does not save my marriage its making me a way way better person going forwards.

This is an invaluable book for any man wanting to rebuild trust and connection in his marriage, but particularly when he knows, like I did, that if I didn't do something I was going to lose my wife. The author speaks from experience and from real authority having helped men like us. Very accessible, easy to read and the practical guide I needed at a difficult time.

Jeff's book is strong and direct, packed with valuable insights, if you're facing challenges in your marriage, but also a must-read if you want to work and improve yourself. I wish I had read this book 2-3 years ago.

I've read a few books on this topic and would recommend Jeff's take on things. I've also spoken to him and he's a genuinely good guy who wants to help. Worthwhile investment for sure.

My wife and me have a 4 year old, and whilst we're not at the stage of couples in this book, we're making an active attempt to communicate and get back to things from 15 years back. As such, we've both been reading a wide array of such books as a way to reflect and communicate.Wifey gave this an 8. I'll give it a 7.I'll start with the good. There's a lot of reasonable examples to use, and broadly I think the idea of empowering men to be the best version of themselves is noble. That is sexy to women. A bunch of things in here I didn't realise were sexy to women, but wifey confirmed, and she's a woman, so it must be true!The author clearly has some experience, both personally and professionally, and it's often refreshing. There are several chapters that really resonated and made me re-evaluate outlooks, framing things both for my personal reflection and to start understanding my wife better. I would definitely recommend the book from that perspective.On the bad side, there is an almost total lack of accountability or agency for the wives here. Several examples given of wives are ridiculous. A grown women cryptically tiptoeing around needing a wee break on a long trip is silly. A woman holding a grudge for 24 years because her husband once reacted poorly when she sat on him, ostensibly because it conveyed fears of abandonment, when they were dating? Please, the guy married you and had kids with you, get over yourself. Then there's the scenario where, after an argument, you both retreat and she's now almost entitled to be listening to her inner voice and contacting Fabio..? Better to ask for a divorce that excuse that as a reasonable reaction.Although the book is right that as a man you carry difficult loads better, your wife shouldn't be a passenger, or worse, a liability. You cannot be a good leader if you don't have a good team, capable of stepping up, wanting to follow you, and able to support you also. It's not always easy to lead, after-all. The book makes clear that men should start this - actually an important thing for me as I now realise I was being too conditional before stepping up - but it doesn't make clear that a good marriage needs 2 people doing a good job, not just 1.

This book needs to be read. By every man, no matter how great you think you are.
