I'm a schoolteacher who picked up this book - one that I had never read - to read to the class. I do that when I want to "think aloud" how I solve unknown words and inference. I was hooked... no spoilers here. What a great story... which no swear words! :)

Awesome Book! Couldn't put it down!
I wasn't sure what to expect, but the cover and title drew me in first. Gaming theme second. However, this book offered so much more. Great characters, literary references with a suspenseful cat and mouse game. Just when I thought I had it figured out, it moved in a different direction. Great from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

Fun Fast-Paced Read
Very enjoyable book to read that will keep you turning pages as you search for the next clue or twist to solve the mystery. Very likable characters and plot.

Great for mystery readers
The book Click Here to Start by Denis Markell about a kid who inherits a treasure from his uncle, but has to go through a series of steps to find it first. This debut author wrote a very interesting story that incorporated fact and fiction. Students who might be interested in some of the topics he brings up can have a starting point to learn about history. I believe that the synopsis of this book does not completely match. I was personally looking for a book that my middle school students would feel were in the middle of a game with game language. I was hoping to almost switch back and forth between two realities where the story was written as a game. Overall, I would recommend this book to any middle school kid who does not have high expectations for a gaming novel. A student or young adult interested in mystery, scavenger hunts, young adult concepts, and history would certainly find this book entertaining.

Creative and imaginative story
My twelve year old loved this story and read it straight through in a few days over Christmas break because he couldn't put it down. Clean and imaginative novel, perfect for younger readers!

Loved it
My preteen (11y/o) boy say this was the best book he read this year - and we read a lot! He loved the premise and the pace was fun and fast. Highly recommend.

so-so
The book is a bit too long. There are a lot of gaps in the text that the author makes no attempt to clarify, and leaves the reader hanging and unsatisfied at the last page. The characters are not particularly well developed either. Some of the historical context which is provided is interesting but on its own is abstract enough not to be noticed by the inpatient readers. I was not satisfied when reading this book.
