First of all, pictures in this listing show the seatbelt attached to the dog's collar. A dog should NEVER be buckled into a car by the collar unless you want to break its neck if you're ever in a serious accident or have to suddenly slam on brakes. ALWAYS attach the seatbelt to a harness. With that being said, this is a very sturdy seatbelt and appears to be made from quality material. I especially like the elastic buffer design intended to reduce the force of a sudden impact. The seatbelt is secure but gives the dog just enough leeway to either sit or lay down but not enough to jump out a window or into the front seat.

My dog is the worst in the car, it's hard to get him to stay in one place. This is BY FAR the best thing I've ever received. He's about 100 pounds, and wants to basically be in my lap while driving. This thing is a literal God send, it keeps him safe, in the back portion of my vehicle. Very sturdy and secure!Lastly, I love it because it prevents him from getting out before I am ready, or if one of my kids open the door. Super happy with this!

My little dog stays put when tethered by this strap. She does not try to chew it at all. It works well when used inside the carrier purchased for her at the same time. You could use this alone or in combination with the carrier. Good quality of fabric used...I recommend this product and would order again.

Please, please clip your dogs in somehow every time you go for a ride! There are lots of options, and this is one. It is probably better than nothing, but this style of restraint is not my favorite. I've found that my dogs (especially Pointer Sister) - whether accidentally or on purpose - can disconnect it by stepping on the seatbelt release. When that happens, the dog is free in the car and if you're the only one in there with them, you've got to pull over to fix it. This style also only works if your seat cover has the seatbelt openings, and they don't all have them. That said, it is 100% better than nothing, so if you think you'll use this, get it. The quality seems strong, and as long as it stays connected, it will keep your dog from jumping out when you open the car door. Make sure to hook it only to a harness and never to a collar.

This is so handy! My dog loves to go, but has horrible car manners. Also, I always worry about what would happen if we got in an accident. With this seat belt, I don't worry (as much). She still has room to look out the window, but she can't hop in the front. She's a big dog and because it plugs into the actual seat belt plug, I don't worry about her pulling against it. And the strap is wrapped with a fabric, which is lovely as well. I highly recommend it!

This is a nicely made seat belt attachment for dogs that ride loose in the car. It fits securely into the seat belt receptacle. There is a small section of the strap that has bungee cord, and it is adjustable as well, so that you can shorten the length depending on the size of the dog. The clasp is also heavy duty, so as a unit, this should function well to keep a dog restrained.

I bought this for my 50lb golden doodle. It’s a little short to comfortably hook her up from the loop under her neck. She keeps getting tripped up. But if I attach it to the loop on back of her harness it works better. I feel better now that I can buckle her in while on the road. It also keeps her from trying to jump into the front seat.It is super easy to use. Just click it in to your seatbelt buckle and attach it to your dog’s harness.

This little safety leash does exactly what you expect. Click one end in the seatbelt receiver, attach the other end to your dog's collar. The length is adjustable to get it where you need it, and it has a springy flexible end to absorb shock. The quality, stitching, and feel are all top notch. Nice product!
