SEBSON Motion Detector Indoor Flush-Mounted – Set of 2 – LED Suitable for Wall Mounting, IR Sensor Programmable, UP Box 60 mm, Cavity Box 68 mm, Range 9 m/160°, 3-Wire

Bought the twin set of PIR’s for installation on our warehouse staircase leading to the Mezzanine.. We needed a PIR at the bottom of the staircase and one at the top so that we could navigate the staircase safely, hands free and in low light at any time of the day or night. We have plasterboard partitions in our warehouse and it was obvious from the listing that these could be installed without the need for a back box. Having read previous reviews and in particular the one which states that it can’t be used for dual switching I was prepared to send them back if they didn’t meet our intended purpose. However, the units arrived in a neat little box with a very good installation and user instruction leaflet. On page 9 of the leaflet under the title “Instructions for Installation (figure 5)”, half way down the page it gives instructions on how to set these PIR up for parallel wiring ie. 2 way use by following the wiring schematic shown in (figure 4). I have included photo’s of both these pages with this review. The schematic shows no inclusion of an earth wire, however earth wire can be connected together at the back using a wago or normal connector block. Please note that if you intend on installing these into anything metal you should earth them accordingly. If in doubt please consult an electrician. Although not indicated in the leaflet, in accordance with the wiring regulations in the UK and for ease of use we installed a double pole isolator switch between the power and the units so that if we need to service the light we can isolate the power to these without having to isolate the complete circuit in the warehouse. We’re very happy with the result! Pro’s: 1. Easy to install in plasterboard walls without the need for screws; 2. Compact and unobtrusive; 3. Good detailed installation instructions. Con’s: 1. Undersized for UK surface mounted patress boxes; 2. Instructions did not address earth connections; 3. Although instructions did mention that installation should be carried out in accordance with the wiring regulations of your country and both units have an ‘off’ setting, it should be mandatory to include instructions for the installation of an isolator switch in particular when two units are wired in parallel (2 way) as there is always the potential for one to be live making it hazardous if the light fitting needs servicing. Better safe than sorry!

Tout est expliqué dans la notice. Avant tout : agrandir les quelques pages au format A4 car le format timbre poste est trop pénible pour les yeux. Suivre les instructions et se munir d'un testeur de courant. Matériel solide. Le curseur de réglage peut se détacher durant la pose : simplement le remettre en place. Réglage de la luminosité pour les luminaires qui disposent de cette fonctionnalité. Pour la durée de fonctionnement, j'ai réglé sur 90 secondes mais chacun choisira en fonction de ses besoins.

you need to have L N and then you can have L sensor output, if you have only 1 wire this will not work.

Despite the description saying that this will switch LED lights - IT DOES NOT. Look at the video I just posted. Completely fails. I received 2 items, and both behaved exactly the same, so it was not a faulty unit, rather a design THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH LED LIGHTS. Shame on Sebson and Amazon for the wrong description.
