I bought this bag for my husband for work. When it turned out to be too small for his needs, I thought that I would use it eventually. Last week, during a return trip from vacation, my bag tested positive for explosives. That was strange to me, as I had never used it before this trip to my mother-in-law's house. So either she (at 87 years of age) is up to no good, or this bag is counterfeit Carhartt. First I thought that I had sat the bag on airport floors (and planes) on the first part of my trip. After a two-hour detention, the police being called, two extremely intimate "pat-downs" (aka TSA love), and EVERY single item in the backpack swabbed and screened, the TSA agents determined that it was the fabric of the backpack itself that tested positive for explosives. So I will restate the obvious: I do NOT recommend this bag and you should NOT buy this bag. Buy directly from Carhartt. As for this bag? It has already been placed in the trash.
