Black Holes was written by two of the most qualified, smartest scientists in the world. The book jacket says it's the key to understanding the universe. I've read over half the book and doubt is creeping in. Not only do I not yet understand the universe, I don't understand the equations and diagrams in this book. So if I finish the book and I still don't understand the universe, they're going to tell me it's my fault. I'm embarrassed to tell you how many books I've bought that said they were going to explain quantum mechanics. But they can't. What they explain is that nobody can explain quantum mechanics. I already knew that. Richard Feynman, one of the smartest people who ever lived and did ground breaking work in the field said don't feel bad if you don't understand quantum mechanics - nobody does. What does quantum mechanics have to do with black holes? It's all connected but I can't explain it to you without a lot of hand waving. But hey - hope springs eternal. Maybe the next hundred pages will deliver the blindingly lucid insight I have been seeking all my life. If you don't see a follow up to this review it means I've found the wormhole to another universe or travelled to another time or dimension. Or opened another bottle of vodka. There's a probability curve somewhere that will describe this.

Excelente lectura de un tema muy interesante escrito en un lenguaje muy accesible para quienes no somos astro-físicos.
