Works great and took about 5 minutes to install
Installed on 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse in about 5 minutes. Have the hatchback open (use a friend or spouse to hold it if need be) use a small headed, flat screwdriver and insert beneath the existing clips on the original struts then pop 'em off or at least pop 'em until they are loose enough so you can remove the existing strut. You just need to pop it off with your hand and then work on the other side. I started with the top ones first then did the bottom ones. After both are removed, simply snap the new ones into place. You don't need to loosen the clips on the new one. Once they snap in you're in business. These work great so far (installed for around 2 days). You just need to pop the lid then gently lift up a couple of inches and the struts will take care of the rest lifting the hatchback all the way to the top. Great price on a great product. Will update review if necessary in the future but for now, these were the ticket and the ticket was rather inexpensive and easy to install.

Easy to install.
Received product today. It arrived quickly, was easy to install and works perfectly. If it works well after 6 months I would upgrade to 5 stars. The struts do not come with instructions, but all it takes to install is a thin-bladed standard screwdriver. Before you get started, be sure to prop open the back door - at least half-way open; a single strut will not be strong enough to keep the door open. Use the screwdriver to pop the clips off the upper and lower strut ends; it is not necessary to unloosen the bolts that attach to the door. Once one side of the clip is off, simply pull the top of the strut away from the door, then do the same for the bottom end. To attach the new strut, leave the clips in place. Lift the door fully open, line up the top end of the strut to the door connector and push. You will hear it snap on. Repeat for the bottom end. It took me about 10 minutes to replace both struts, and I am not any kind of mechanic. Like I said - Easy.

Super EZ to install & Very sturdy!
Easy to install, feels and looks durable. I had to hold up the hatchback as my Mechanic removed the old cartridges and installed these ones in place, so unless you use a stick, I'd highly recommend a second person because you'll have to push up to unhinged and remove the cartridges then lower slightly to install, etc. Overall, very easy, I didn't see my Mechanic use any type of tools. It looked like this was more snapping in. Anyways, they hold up very well. Very strong, sturdy, and I've anyway used what is taken for granted so much; A trunk that just stays up without falling on your head, or having to be held BY your head! I very very much recommend these. I know I've asked in this Amazon Questions, got my feedback, and yes, these work! My Mitsubishi Eclipse, 07, GT, Hatchback.

Absolutely perfect!
Thank you SO much! I purchased a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse that needed the lift supports replaced as they were not working at all. My friend came over yesterday and easily replaced them as I held the lift door up, they just snapped in, what a perfectly beautiful fit! I am so happy that I have working lift supports and to have found this seller, I am thrilled. Excellent product, fit, and delivery!!!
