It has already provedd durable as I have dropped/knocked/etc. my phone several times since attaching this case. I love the fact that the case is black with the burned out design in a lighter tan. And yes, since this is a wood product that has been painted, when I drop it sometimes a bit of paint is rubbed off of a corner of the case...that is what Sharpie markers are for. The black marker works great on my case and for the other colors/designs available I would either use the Sharpie permanent markers (for darker colors) or the Sharpie highlighters (lighter colors). The BEST things about this case is that when my phone alerts me I am always reminded to be mindful of inner peace as I answer the daily spam calls from people who don't speak English. My husband requests that you start making your cases for Samsung/Android phones too.
