Philips 823031 CFL Light Bulb 13W T2 Twister Daylight 6500K, 60 Watt Equivalent; 8-Pack

You can't hardly get good ole regular light bulbs nowadays, and I refuse to pay an arm & a leg for the new LED bulbs - no doubt in my mind that it is a scam just to jack up prices. So a few years back, I started using these "squiggly" bulbs. They last a long time (the one in my man cave is in its 4th year of burning 18 hrs a day), and are cheaper than the LED ripoff bulbs, and use a lot less juice than the old-fashioned bulbs. I went to buy some more the other day, and Walmart didn't have them, either in-store or on-line. But good ole Amazon did. This is the first time I have bought this particular brand, or actually any brand of squigglies in a few years, but they seem to work fine. If they turn out to be short-lived, I will amend this review appropriately.

The old lights (Left side) were good but not "Daylight". The new lights are significantly different. I switched to these through out my house. Certainly worth it! I think these are the best on the market!

I bought these to replace the ones by builder had installed that finally died after 7 years. They are in my bathroom and they are just way too bright! The color is also very blue. I was hoping it would match the few remaining ones still working, but they are a nice medium warm color and these are like fluorescent lighting in a school classroom!Wish I had returned them, but they are already installed, so I will move them to my kid's bathroom and search for a better replacement.

Love these..! Brilliant, true daylight bulbs for the bathroom vanity strip. Ya gotta look for that 6,500K color temperature for true daylight. I bought 8 bulbs, 3 went out after a year, but its still worth it. I just bought another 8. After reading the reviews I feared these news ones wouldn't match my old ones. But they do..they're white white white..! Very very quiet too.

I bought the same exact bulbs (not on Amazon) about 3 years ago. Those bulbs were bright like daylight.I was very surprised to replace one of the end table lamps with these new ones. Wow. Yellow and dim.Didn't return them, going to use them for low light ambience type places. Don't buy these if you are looking for white and bright.Strange.

Bought the largest pack because I can't get enough of these for every light in my house. I hate soft, yellow light, but also don't want to be blinded by a crazy bright LED. These are perfect--they really do look like daylight.

I bought these when I ran out of the ones I had prior. Didn't need them until it was far too long after the return window. They smell like burning plastic like really bad, my son had to leave his room. And its not the light because I plugged other light bulbs in and it didn't smell like that anymore

2 bulbs were busted when I opened my package. Definitely should have been more bubble wrap or something around the bulbs. This is why I wanted to rate 1 star. The bulbs work great!
