Birkenstock Arizona Mules/Clogs Men Brown Mules Shoes

I bought these as footwear for my holiday as on many occasions have ended up with sores from flip flops after walking any distance. I read the previous reviews before buying and have to agree that these are just great - super comfortable, well made and a great price too. I followed the instructions for the sizing and bought the EU equiv to my size 6 and its fits perfectly. Highly recommend.

Having been a Birkenstock devotee for over 20 years, I was thrilled to have finally found this beautiful colour Basalt, but unfortunately, they are NOT genuine leather, the product information is very confusing. If you have sensitive feet, go for manmade felt, or better yet, spend a bit more and choose 100% real leather / suede for ultimate comfort and life long durability, the footbed and soles can be replaced so the investment is worthwhile. In the past, I have had a pair made with this Birko Flor which looks very much like leather, but they dug into my feet and gave me severe blisters whilst on holidays. They are now reserved for going up to the loft only. Here is a note on how Birkenstock should fit as I've seen so many adults wearing the wrong size and have often come across incorrect advice on reviews such as 'go for one size smaller', etc. You need to firstly go for the size you normally take and then determine the width. Most adults are Birkenstock REGULAR width, the foot illustration on the footbed is indicated with just an outline. Often this is referred to as WIDE and so this puts inexperienced users off immediately. A proper fit means your entire feet must sink right into the footbed and there should be a bit of space around the entire feet showing some footbed, hence they will make your feet appear larger than standard shoes, this is normal. When they fit properly as intended, the shoes will be extremely durable while providing ultimate comfort and support. Very few adults are a true Birkenstock NARROW, (indicated by SOLID foot illustration), hence this width shoes are often available at TK Maxx at greatly reduced prices. If you are in fact a REGULAR and choose NARROW or a size smaller in the Regular for vanity reasons, your won't experience the true heath benefit, in addition, discomfort or blisters will most likely develop from ill fitting, while the cork will fall apart much quicker. If you want to confirm my advice on fitting, contact the Birkenstock store and they will tell you the same thing.

I got this gift at a good price at the time

After having spent 25 years in 'pretend' birkenstock sandals I decided it was time for the real thing. On arrival I noticed they looked a lot bigger than my imitation pair and I think they are. It took me a day to get my feet to adjust to the inner lining of the shoe, but now I am totally won over. A shoe for life, I hope. Very comfortable and hopefully very healthy for my feet too. I might need a pair with a closed front too, for the winter time, to keep my toes warm. I would recommend these clogs to anyone who wants to take care of their feet and posture.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years. Usually I buy lightweight models with ankle straps that keep them on my feet while walking, such as non-leather Rios, but I did own one pair of leather slip-on Arizonas (bought in Glasgow back in the very early 90s.) When that pair finally wore out this spring, after mostly indoor use, I decided to try the new 'soft footbed' model. Wow! What a difference. These are the non-leather version which I'm already used to, but the big difference is this wonderful soft footbed. What a difference. It's not too squishy to give the usual Birkenstock support, but that 'hard' feeling that some people dislike in Birkenstocks is completely gone. This is the innovation Birkenstocks have been needing. These are well-crafted, fit perfectly, built to a high standard. I am totally pleased, enough to have ordered a second pair as a gift. I can hardly wait for this soft footbed to be introduced across the Birkenstock range.

I ordered these shoes for my son in his normal size 11. They are much larger than his previous pair of Birkenstock sandals, but just about wearable. These sandals are excellent value for money in comparison to the leather birkenstocks, but they don't seem to be as pliable as we have experienced previously, and it literally took him a week or so to break these in sufficiently to be able to walk far. These sandals are perfect for a man, but not something that I would wear, as they are very clunky in appearance. Whilst all birkies are of a similar design, the women's ones are slightly shallower and neater than these.

I've been having foot issues (neuroma and hammertoe, low arch) and these sandals feel good on my feet.

My daughter begged for these shoes. I finally caved and bought them for her. Unfortunately, she wore them to the ice skating rink and left them in the pile of shoes with half of the other patrons of the skating rink. She claimed she made one lap around the rink, came to get something and found her Birks were missing. She asked the person in charge if there was a lost and found or if they could check the security footage...but they wouldn't. Well, maybe it was a perfect fit for someone out there. She only had them for a few days so I can't rank the item properly. She's saving up and intends to own this shoe again!
