A little confusing figuring out the hang. Do not remove the zip ties that are already on the strands. They hold the scallop. There are some extra small zip ties in the box. Don't really know why. No instructions provided. The draping strands can easily get twisted and messed up. Best to use two people and lay it out on the grass first so that you aren't trying to straighten it out on a ladder. Once you get that figured out, it's easy. The connections are great. I like that they have a twist cap cover at the connections. The lights definitely stand out on the block. The draping hangs low; looks like 1 to 1.5 feet from the roof edge. Keep that in mind if you have high hedges or other things under the eves.

Up close and far away these lights look super bright and I'm happy I purchased these, they are the perfect length and I love the newer ends to these lights they plug into additional lights with the same plug ends... without having cords laying everywhere. I wish I had another location to hang more I love them so much. sooo pretty. These are the multi color with warm white , I like the twinkle effect "-)The info says they're 40 foot but the first light starts after 10 foot of just wire from the plug/which I like... since I needed the lights to start up high the wire is long enough to reach right where I wanted them to be.

Two people make it easier to unpack and hang. It was tedious to unpack (unroll) and hang. I was glad to be hanging it on my rear patio and not up on the second floor while working off a ladder. It was bit cold on the day I hung these and getting the wires uncurled and unlooped but I was able to do it with satisfaction. No directions or explanation of the remote, but each number is its own setting. So we got it hung, straightened, working and now we'll wait for dark to really enjoy it. The lights are NOT as close to each other as they appear in listing. Anyway, they are a LOT better than the ones we had previously. For the money, I think they are a bargain, and we are satisfied.UPDATE: The initial set I reviewed was apparently a RETURNED item. It arrived in a weak, thin plastic sack. After I hung the lights, I noticed that the last 3 loops were not working. After a several attempts to find the problem unsuccessfully, I gave up and contacted Amazon. Lady on phone authorized a replacement that arrived today. Replacement was win a sealed, factory box, with remote control and extra zip ties. I have tested it, and it functions perfectly. I am hopeful that this item will look good and last.

I just finished hanging 1 set of these lights. This took about 2 hours ( not bad for a 71 year old on a ladder) with no instructions from manufacturer. However reading several reviews I was able to get the first strand hung. It takes 2 people to hang these. Instead of laying the lights out in the grass I used the my driveway, green wires green grass. For those who wrote the reviews Clark Griswold says thank you.

So easy to hang. My all time favorite Christmas lights.

I would not recommend these lights. They are difficult to straighten out and you will need help. Once straighten out someone needs to be on the ground feeding the lights up to you to keep them from getting twisted. We bought two sets that had different controls. The lights were compatible with each other and looked really nice but quit working permanently as we were hanging them. No reason for this happening as I was being gentle.

When you're hanging these, try using the zip-tie points (my ties are white) as a grasping point.When I unrolled the lights to hang, I grasped the strands by those zip-ties connections thus making the taunt strand easily to keep track of, and cascading strands just fell into place. If you hold/handle the strands by those zip-ties, it's a great way to reference where the top, taunt strand is. We were able to anchore the taunt strand to the house using the zip-ties as a placement/attachment mark. Do not cut those zip-ties! They are you little friends! I got them because they are so different from icicle lights and haven’t seen them before. They are NOT fun to put up. I first spread them out and warmed them up to see what I was looking at and WOW. Cool. I have to pull every loop to match lengths. It will take a few hours to complete one set. They are very long, which is nice but also labor intensive. The top string has to be secured before the loops can be made. Yeah…. I’ll update with a video if I ever get them all the way up. 😂
