The product has very good adhesion quality. **Q: I was thinking about adding red flake to it is that possible or do you guys know?** A: Most likely the flakes would get coated and not show. The textured version has black granduals in it and they don't show black. **Q: Is this product fire resistant or retardant? Are their additives that would make it so?** A: It is Fire Resistant - ASTM E-162: 01 Flame Spread, ASTM E662: 06 Smoke generation, there is a product called CEASEFIRE FIRE RETARDANT DURABAK ADDITIVE which you can find online that significantly increases it's fire resistance, but it also makes the finsh white and cloudy **Q: Can the finished surface be painted?** A: Yes, Durabak is a polyurethane, so it can be over-coated with other urethane coatings. THIS STUFF SETS UP QUICK BUT ITS WORTH IT *by on Reviewed in the United States March 16, 2025* Great product. Keep some xylene close by when applying. The product gets tacky quickly and can be a mess but if you keep it thin with xylene (10-15%) you can cover a lot of area with a 1/8" nap roller on a pole. The roller provided is not the best, it was leaving pink lint. Pick up a small pin roller with 1/8" nap if using smooth. Get some help from a friend or two and it will go fast. Did a entire 17' center console boat deck in three coats with a gallon of smooth white. Hatches, floor, sides, gunwales, console, everything. I had previously used a different brand that was also tinted and even with proper preparation it did not last more than 12 months before it came off in spots. Will buy for future projects ### ⭐ Rolling is a nightmare and would ruin anything you sprayed it through. *by on Reviewed in the United States September 6, 2025* Wish I could give it a zero star! My husband is a professional painting contractor and we bought this product to recoat his work trailer. He's used other products similar for bed liners like Raptor spray and flex seal on trailers. Those were easy compared to this. But this was recommended without the grit in it for smooth surface and better longevity. After mixing the product within 5 minutes brushes and rollers were almost completely toast, super gummy and starting to get stiff. I will add photos to show you uneveness of coating and drip markings. With how fast it went off we had zero chance at fixing dripping because it would ruin the spots around it that looked atleast kinda ok. 2 people working 75 degrees outside in the shade. The dripping marks were so random too. It wasn't just where we started rolling it would be in the middle/end of rolls sometimes. 1 coat barely covered anything. Didn't go well at all. Kept was kept in house after delivery in a cool spot. Oh and you may need a pry bar to get the lid off. After removing the metal pins on the lid it took a lot of prying with a paint can opener and eventually having to use some beefy pliers to get the lid off. Almost seemed welded shut.Horrible will not use again or reccomend it.
