Huy Fong Sambal Oelek Ground Chili Paste - 8 oz x 2 bottles

Sriracha is so popular these days, but this chili paste (same company as the original sriracha) is so much more flavorful. Id choose this over sriracha any time. It’s shelf life once opened seems shorter. Keep it well sealed, and it lasts pretty well.

I go through a lot of this, so I was pleasantly surprised at Amazon’s price on it. At my regular grocery store, it costs as much for a single jar as Amazon charges for the 2-pack! It came well sealed, and of course the Huy Fong brand is known for quality. I can sub sriracha in a pinch, but since the recipes I use it in already include a fair bit of garlic, this saves me having to adjust the amounts. Very happy with this purchase.

Pretty hot and typical Huy Fong quality Chili Paste. Use this for chili and Asia take out.

I was given a bottle of this chili paste and loved it. It has just the right amount of heat for me. It was thick like ketchup. The newly purchased bottles were not thick and definitely not as hot. It was very loose, more like a sauce. The taste is still the same so I Kept them. Just disappointed it is not as thick and had to use more.

This stuff is sooo much better than sriracha! It has a more complex flavor.
