This is a good product as it contains the active form that your body can absorb - D3 and not D2. Just remember everyone that you need to take your Vitamin D with a meal that contains some fat. If you just take it alone then it will be absorbed poorly. However, you are going to struggle to raise your Vitamin D levels if you take just one a day.If you are deficient it is generally advised that you should take around 5000-8000 IU per day, if you just need a maintenance dose then around 3000 IU per day is advisable. If these numbers seem scary to you, just remember that on a sunny day your skin will produce around 10,000 IU of Vitamin D. It is very common for GPs to prescribe 20,000 IU or 50,000 IU tablets two to three times a week for several months in order to raise levels.Try and get a blood test done for Vitamin D but if you can't I would advise 3000-5000 IU a day. I personally take 6000 IU per day, I take one Vitamin D tablet with breakfast, lunch and dinner, and I use the spray mentioned below once a day. This is the spray I am discussing which I would highly recommend: https://www.amazon.co.uk/BetterYou-DLux-3000-Vitamin-Spray/dp/B00AWNART4/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1500976881&sr=8-4&keywords=vitamin+d3+sprayIt is a Vitamin D spray that you spray under your tongue, and the absorption is far better. I would combine both products together.Other things that are good to take are Omega 3, Magnesium, Zinc, and Boron. The most important thing with any vitamin or mineral is not to just go to the pharmacy and buy it, as typically these will be garbage synthetic forms that your body cannot absorb (like folic acid for example - absolute garbage). You need to look for chelated vitamins, which is when a vitamin is binded to an amino acid so your body can absorb it. Or look for a form which is known to be bioavailable - a quick google search will tell you which is and isn't. For example Magnesium or Zinc Oxide is garbage, but Zinc Picolinate for example is one of the best forms available. Finally guys, just remember that a lot of vitamins and minerals these days are very difficult to get from food, as the soils have been stripped of vitamins and minerals totally. In the UK it is difficult to get Vitamin D due to the weather, but I recommend Omega 3, Magnesium, Zinc, and Boron because they are all very hard to get from food, and highly important substances. Omega 3 is contained in fish, but fish these days are bad for you as they are all raised on farms and are full of pollutants. Magnesium and Zinc are difficult to get from your diet, and Boron which was once contained in the soil has been largely depleted. So take these recommendations - buy Doctor's Best Magnesium, Zinc Picolinate from Swanson, Now Foods Boron, Omega 3 from Intelligent labs and DLux Vitamin D spray).TL;DR - 1000IU is too little, take between 3000 - 8000 IU per day dependant on whether you want to maintain or increase your current level. Vitamin D sub-lingual spray is very good. Omega 3, Magnesium, Zinc and Boron are highly advisable, but make sure you buy the correct form and not a synthetic form (Doctor's Best Magnesium, Zinc Picolinate from Swanson, Now Foods Boron, Omega 3 from Intelligent labs, and Vitamin D DLux spray.)

Great value vitamin D tablets
First I used to get vitamin D from prescriptions and it was costly. GP suggested that I need to take them regularly and one of my friend recommended to get them from poundshop. Then I bought these tablets from Amazon. So I will write this, comparing all 3 options.First, the prescription tablets, they are costly but the easiest to use, because it is orange flavoured and you can chew them like a peppermint. Then, the poundshop tablets, they are the biggest and most hard to take. They cannot chew because they taste like plaster. So I swallowed them with water. Strength is also low, as I remember they are 600iu.Finally, these tablets, they are the smallest of them all. So easy to swallow, but don't like to chew since they are not flavoured. This container has 60 tablets, but it fills only 1/10th of it. Wasting plastic in the process.Bottom line, and the most important comparison. I didn't noticed any difference between all these three options. They all gave me same results, I got better with all three options. So I continued using these as it's easy to order online, easy to swallow and I don't want to pay £7 plus for the orange flavour. You only have to take one tablet per day.Hope this review is helpful to someone and I didn't wasted my time writing :)

SUNSHINE VITAMIN
Saw on TV that the sunshine vitamin D3 has been proved to be a cancer preventive, so I took action immediately, following the "expert" doctors findings and bought these here on Amazon. Found a bargain deal whereby you get these, and other VALUPAKs as "ADD ON ITEMS" if you spend £20 on Amazon. Then realized that they count them in the actual £20 add-up, so EVEN BETTER!I believe that you can purchase these at the same price in pound shops and in discount toiletries shops, but if you live out in the countryside, in small villages, and so on, you can have these delivered to your front door for free, and this is more than an added benefit.Bottom line: we need D3 and it has been proved by "luminaries" of science and these come from a pharmaceutical compny, RECOMMENDED
