JVC HA-S160-R-E FLATS Lightweight Headphones - Red
I bought these headphones after reading the good reviews on Amazon... and also as they're a great red colour. These headphones for the price are just terrific. I have a few low cost headphones, including the brilliant Sennheiser HD201 Headphones, but I wanted headphones that looked okay (and didn't make me look like a bumblebee) wearing them going to/from work. These headphones look cool. They fit great, and are really comfortable to wear and don't slip off your head. They fold away flat too which is handy, and they have a sturdy cable that I think is just the right length - not too long.Sound wise - fantastic. A little more bass heavy than the 'neutral' Sennheiser HD201 Headphones, but not too bassy IMO. For just over a tenner you would be silly not to get a pair. I am buying another pair of a different colour - just because I can.I compared them with our boy's Dr Dre Beats. The sound definition maybe isn't just quite as tight and crisp ,and for sure looks wise, they just do not make the same statement, but as a listening experience they aren't a million miles away... And Good Grief, they are a ten times cheaper than Beats! Honestly - smashing wee cans. Do your ears a favour, get a pair.

Great sound for the money
What do would you expect for a pair of headphones under £8? Probably not much. But you'd be wrong. To start with the headphones are lightweight and comfortable. They fit quite snuggly over my ears and although there is some leakage of sound from outside, they are pretty good. Previously I'd had a pair of JVC noise cancelling headphones. These are nowhere as good, but the noise cancelling phones are at least 5x more expensive! The sound quality is pretty good too. We are talking lower end of the market, let me remind you under £8, so expectations have to be moderated. However, the treble and mid ranges are good, although I do pick some distortion on the bass range while listening to classical.Overall, for what I paid for them, and what I use them for, I'm delighted. If you need a pair of headphones that give a good listening experience without costing you the earth, give these a go. You might be pleasantly surprised.JVC HA-S160-R-E FLATS Lightweight Headphones - Red

Great sound, definitely cannot go wrong with these JVC headphones
If you're wondering whether the hype is justified about these cheap JVC headphones, it definitely is, they are that good. As for the fit, the comfort is no problem, and you will not really notice them on your head. They have a slightly flimsy build, but strong enough as long as you don't throw them around. Noise cancelling is fairly good also.I would describe the sound as being natural and warm, and a bit on the bassy side. The treble is not as pronounced, but that is not a bad thing as the treble on some cheap headphones can be shrill and irritating. If there is a negative, it is that I had to search for an EQ setting on my Samsung phone to suit the majority of my music, as the default normal setting had a bit too much bass. I thus settled on the "pop" setting as it reduces the bass slightly while making the music sound clearer. Although I do switch back to default setting when listening to bass heavy music like RnB.I would say the JVC Flats are perfect for using round the house. If using outside, just , treat them carefully when throwing into a bag.For me, for less than £10 you cannot go wrong buying these headphones, even if you're just buying them as an extra pair in addition to your existing cans. Apart from normal use I will use them to test against premium headphones, as I need to get a pair for sound monitoring and DJing - thinking of getting the Audio Tecnhica M50x, so would appreciate feedback on these.Don't think you will get any headphones as good at this price

GOOD HEADPHONES BUT FLAWED
I HAVE BOUGHT 5 OR 6 PAIRS OF THESE JVC H160 HEADPHONES BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY GOOD SOUND QUALITY BUT A LITTLE BIT FLIMSY BUT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT AFTER A YEAR OR SO THE SOUND ON ONE SIDE STOPS WORKING . BECAUSE THEY ARE ON EAR HEADPHONES YOUR EARS STAY COOL AND THEY LAY FLAT AGAINST YOUR HEAD AND SO GOOD FOR LAYING IN BED WHEREAS MOST HEADPHONES ARE THICK AND BULKY . ITS A GREAT PITY THAT THE CABLE CONNECTION IS NOT MADE MORE ROBUST TO PREVENT LOSS OF SOUND . SO I WILL TRY AND FIND AN ALTERNATIVE .

excellent value have had a regular pair worn almost every day for a year now.
Have ordered 6 if these at the reduced price as these are really light weight and robust. Having a simply design that is hard to destroy. At the presently discounted price of under £8, I stacked up most of the colours, including the apple friendly white. The ear pads swivel flat around the next although there is no folding option (however, this does remove a possible breakage point).Sound is great, not as good as my Beats or Bose. But more than good enough for commuting or wearing around the house where they can be dropped around the neck for a low profile when needed.

If you want cheap, over-ear headphones then look no further.
This is my second pair of these headphones (a heavy-set teenager sat on the last ones).Don't get these headphones thinking that they'll blow your mind and you'll get the best sound quality in the universe - they're just cheap headphones. But holy moly, for their price range they are fantastic. Their lightweight design makes the headphones really comfortable to wear, cable length is pretty good too.The sound quality for the price range is great. It doesn't seem like any frequency range in particular has been naughtily boosted to get "better" sound quality. Everything sounds nice and balanced.

Great, reliable headphones
My go to headphones. Last a while (1 year + since last buy) before I inevitably break them by yanking a cord accidentally. These are great value for money. They are light headphones and fit a range of head sizes from small adults to big adults. The cord length is nice too (not too short, not too long) - for use with mp3 players and computers. I think the design is pretty cool too.

Best headphones if you want light weight and hate buds!
These are the best sounding, light weight, no distortion and price balance out there. 20htz to 20000htz is not good enough. These are 12htz to 24000htz...no distortion on either extreme of human hearing range. Soft earpads...I hate buds! Very inexpensive for high quality. Buy buy buy!

Sonido bueno a buen precio
